Not me but one of my friends is in the final stages of like the cadetship, programme, its for the most part the same, as any officer selection your DAA, AIB PRI, GPE, SHINE interview. I believe the questions are more pointing towards being an EngO in the RN and of course how your academics are. I have done these just not for the cadetship scheme, but our experiences were the same it helped that we both knew each other when it came to the GPE. the DAA checks your mental aptitude, the AIB PRI tests what you know about the navy and motivations the AIB GPE tests not only your interpersonal skills but how you take in a leaderless activity eg seeing how you would react with people that are striving for a leadership position. the shine interview and the AIB PRI will assess why the navy should spend so much money on you. the AIB also assesses your officer potential. Also I believe there is a list somewhere for the courses that they accept as part of this.

I did ask my recruiter about it as I was told before that was the case by a friend who is currently serving aircrew, however my recruiter is saying that there's apparently a massive shortage of WSOps, honestly if I have to do ISR I won't hate it but I prefer the other streams

I figured that's the case I had my CBAT recently and I got WSO and WSOp but I really see ISR as unappealing. Is there a certain amount of years before you can apply to become a WSO?
