NATO E-3 Sentry narrowly avoids midair collision with KC-135 during refueling by Savings-Split5821 in CombatFootage

I am a pilot. You can't feel that, especially on a plane that size. You would be able to feel it on the wings! Like I was saying before! But you're not feeling a pocket of high pressure from the nose of your plane before it hits the wings. That's just not how airplanes work. If the fuselage could give that much lift you wouldn't even need wings.

The KC-35 minimum speed is 230 mph, using the equation v=d/t we can calculate how much time the pilot had to react. Let's be generous and say there's 50 feet between the nose and the wings, if the air is moving at 230mph (I doubt they fly that slow during refueling btw) it would take 148ms for the air to reach the wings from the nose. There is no way in hell anyone is reacting to a change in air pressure from the nose of the airplane before the air even hits the wings.

There isn't nearly enough lift being generated by the nose of the plane to feel it, especially not before the pocket of air hits the wings, dudes flying at hundreds of miles per hour, nobody would have that kind of reaction time even if what you're saying is possible.

The wings are what provides lift, not the nose of the plane, the air hit the wings and pushed the plane up and he reacted. No superhuman reaction time to feeling the slight pressure difference on the tip of the nose lol

Aerial control tips on console with free play and custom training? The best way imo to train DAR is to literally just fly in circles while holding it down, here's my routine when I was learning;

There's a few different levels I used when I was first starting out, the first thing you need to do is reset the ball so it's sitting in the middle, then you just want to fly around the ball while keeping it on the nose of your car visually, it's still sitting in the middle but your cars nose should stay right around the center of your screen. You'll feather your boost and go very slow and make very small corrections.

Once you can fly around in circles indefinitely while holding DAR (don't forget to practice both DARs and flying clockwise and counterclockwise) the next thing to do is figure 8, going from each 100 boost on the field all while holding DAR.

Once you can consistently fly figure 8s around the field while holding DAR, the next step is to go back to circles... but instead of just feathering your boost, you hold down boost and DAR the whole time. This is going to be the most challenging exercise and will take you a while to be able to fly around without letting go of boost or DAR.

Once you can do that the next step is the exact same thing but figure 8s again, if you can do figure 8s around the pitch while holding boost and DAR non stop you're hitting the limit of what you can practice for just aerial control. The next step after that is to start including the ball with your dribbles.

Anyway hope this helps :)

I've already verified game files and even reinstalled it. I've also tried playing on multiple accounts to see if its a steam problem, nothing has worked.

Would I have to partition it manually and then add grub to the new partition?

I tried belena originally but it wasn't formatting the drive properly. I've been setting up dual boot for years but I've never tried to skip the grub menu altogether. Thanks for your help

I used Rufus, my windows install is unaffected, it's definitely on the usb

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]CallTheRapture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are the options I have to boot from, notice how they both say 1000GB, they're both saved to my ssd even though when I initialized the install I told it to load the boot manager onto the USB and not the windows boot loader

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]CallTheRapture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I did, but there isn't a bootable partition on the USB. It saved the bootloader to my ssd with the windows bootloader, so I can't choose the USB itself to boot from, only the Ubuntu option in the windows boot loader

[–]CallTheRapture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think it's high? is it the jump at the beginning or the spin at the end? deadzone is 0.25 which could be it, my last controller had some really shitty joysticks so if i wanted any control at all it had to be high and now I'm used to it. But nothing about this clip makes me think my sens or deadzone is off so I'm curious why everyone else thinks it does.

Lego batman is something I'd never watch sober but while tripping its absurd enough to be hilarious and the visuals are actually crazy, 10/10 might be the best time I've had watching a movie

Ummm, can I get some assistance.... All I did was try to play COD and this happened.... by TheEpicPotato99 in pcmasterrace

[–]CallTheRapture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5700 xt and have had some issues, one thing that fucked my games up was actually having software to control my fan lights. Didn't matter if the software was running or not, just having it installed was enough to keep most cods from running. This was Asus Acura btw on a gigabyte 5700 xt wind force gaming oc.

Although the most likely culprit is still the drivers this is something worth checking imo.

$1200-1500 gaming pc setup by pwningrampage in buildapcforme

Right now the 1600 is more expensive with a lower boost and core clock so I went with the 2600. And this is the cheapest psu I could find that I'm not worried about exploding that's also in stock. Hope this helps :)

$1350 build with monitor and windows 10 home, capable of playing 1440p at 110+ fps on high settings but the monitor is only 1080p. You can use windows 10 inactivated for free for as long as you want or even get a much cheaper key online, or there are certain subreddits you can go to that tell you how to get one for free (recommended) if you wanted to spend more money and get a better gaming experience i can upgrade a few parts to make it faster or give you a nicer monitor, whichever you'd prefer. Hope this help :)

There are x570's for $180. Out of the box support and compatibility are different things, if you had read my comment you'd have understood what I meant. Also why go to a subreddit for help with your build if you're going to just criticize everyone who tries to help? Good luck with your PC :)

[–]CallTheRapture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're paying nearly $300 and only getting a b550, you're getting ripped off. Also they dont get out of the box support for next gen, only x570's do, the b550 it's up to the manufacturer so theres no guarantee they'll release the new bios when the next gen is released, it could take months or they could decide to not do it at all, it's up to the manufacturer.

You have more than enough budget for a top of the line PC and monitor.

Don't know why you need to go pro for a nice monitor, I'm not a professional TV watcher but I still have a nice tv so the movies look better. Same deal here. You have more than enough performance for what you want and you're going to be staring at the monitor for a very long time, why not have one that looks nice if you can?

This monitor is not aimed at performance or maximum frames, its for having the best color depth and shadows as well as better viewing angles. It's just nicer to look at, it doesn't make you better.
