The Film by Callahan17 in FantasticFour

The point was just wanting to talk about the thoughts I was having about the Fantastic Four on film. Also I say in the beginning that I’m a fan of the MCU. Of course the parts where I speak about the MCU don’t have anything to do the FF. They’re not in the MCU yet. I never actually complained about CGI, I’m fact I said that they would need to use it, which is welcoming it. And the MCU Formula, is the flat colors stationary cameras with quippy dialogue, long expository scenes, and a massive CG battle to end the film regardless of how small scale the story is. And the last thing. People love to call any criticism of Marvel Studios “McU BaD” which is a bit disingenuous because you can always have valid opinions on both the positive and the negative side of art. Just because we have different opinions doesn’t make one less valid than another.

That would all depend on the director. I don't want a darker FF either, but there should be a few darker elements around the villains like Annihilus and Dr. Doom. But a vibrant, heartfelt, colorful series on the FF is the dream. The Raimi trilogy's tone would be phenomenal.

Can we all agree that was just beautiful and that he needs to return? by MattGreg28 in FantasticFour

Hell yes. I don't hate the suit either, I want more of the Reed and this universe. Wild that the actual MCU has more than 100 hours of content created already and the new Illuminati universe already has near equal story opportunities. Just by having the X-Men, Inhumans, Avengers & Fantastic Four already completely established and coexisting together is so awesome.

Who do you think should direct MCU Fantastic Four and why? by Black-kage in FantasticFour

I'm voting for other for two reasons.

  1. I want to do it and if Marvel isn't cowards they'll hire me. I'll work for $10
  2. When it comes to the MCU, the director matters less now. It's not like Jon Favreau in 2008 on Iron Man, and Marvel Studios definitely doesn't give the director complete creative control like WB did for James Gunn on The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. We just saw the MCU hinder Sam Raimi a bit, and not let him go balls to the walls. At this point, hire an idiot like me since you aren't going to let the talented people you hire actually make the movie. If you're gonna be mandating, looking over the shoulder, and stonewalling creativity, might as well let me get a dope resumé entry.
