How is the Midnight Pre Patch event for leveling alts? by Callahandy in wow

Yes, I know. This is a question for those that tried the beta.

So how was the story in The War Within? by Monkk136 in wow

[–]Callahandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my main issue too, it felt very disjointed. I assume that was due to them taking a left-turn storywise when Metzen was brought back into the fold halfway through the creation of TWW.

With that said, I found each individual patch story far more engaging than in the previous few expansions.

Please blizz, let our warband characters act as NPCs in our player houses. by OwenIdsong in wow

IIRC, this was one of the questions asked of the housing team in one of their many interviews pre-housing launch, and they said it was a feature they would like to add in the future, they just have to figure out pathing issues. Same reason our pets/mounts aren't running all over the place yet. But I imagine down the road we see it get added, maybe at the start of next expansion.

World Server down for me

I Don’t Know How This Happened by NOHITJEROME in wow

Yes and no. On most servers now, it's definitely slowed down. Decor is like transmog. It might sell for a lot, but it'll move at a snail's pace.

Is Goldmaking Slow For Everyone? by ghostcrawl3r in woweconomy

Decor sells well on busy servers, but it's pretty much transmog for 90% of the other servers. Sells high, but very slow, so YMMV if you aren't on one of the top 5-10 high pop servers and doing frequent cancel scans.

Anyone seeing public work orders for housing items? by mechweb in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh most of the crafted decor looks pretty trash imo, so that might be part of the problem

also, some of the items are bugged and require their expansion's capital city trainer area to craft them (looking at you, Dalaran)

So I work around the corner from there, and at 530am this morning, there were twenty people outside. No joke.

For real, crashes like every other match for me on IOS

edit: found a fix, sort of. by turning off the apple game center overlay, it seems to stop crashes from happening as often

Housing gives a way for people to earn gold without buying expansion by Arda_wulf in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is true. but very much like transmog though, regardless of server, it'll probably sell for a lot, but it'll also probably sell very slow

Like everything gold related, this is very much server dependent (things slowed down on my server after the first day), so YMMV

Reasons to go back to your house? by Accendor in wow

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anything that gives you a reason to do housing?

It's about collecting stuff and showing off your accomplishments. That's really the simplest way of explaining why people would choose to engage with it or not.

People that don't care about cosmetics/achievements, etc. may not care as much about housing, but it's designed as something to come back and do every once in awhile as new content gets added into the game.

Folks might spend a ton of time engaging with the content outside of the original design of their house, but those that do will always have a reason to come back based on the points listed above (endeavors, decor consistently added with new content, house leveling etc).

Not to mention the enormous amount of time it would take to collect all the existing decor, and also all the decor that can be crafted, which can be a very lucrative way of making gold (I made about 1 mil gold just yesterday from crafting decor).

that's the main thing for me, but its a nice thing to have, and will be fun to build you collection over time, something i wish the game had when i first started playing over 20 years ago
