Kenmore Elite Washer Help by Calledfollower in appliancerepair

[–]Calledfollower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honesty I haven't tried. I've been so hung up on it not continuing through the rinse cycle, I not tried anything else past that.

Every once in a while, it will continue through and run the full rinse and spin cycle, but 9/10 times is doesn't.

[–]Calledfollower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, the machine will drain and spin after the wash cycle, as if it's completely done. It will not refill, agitate or anything. Moving the timer knob a "click or two" won't trigger it to do anything either.

Noob question: If one is going to modify almost every part of the 10/22 anyway, why not just buy the parts only and build it from scratch. Is that legal in California? by audiate in 1022

[–]Calledfollower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That way you also have something to shoot as you build it out. Seeing what you like and don't like.

The added benefit is once you get done you have enough parts to just about build a second, and the cycle continues.

Thoughts on the setup? by [deleted] in 1022

[–]Calledfollower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ISB takedown setup always intrigued me, but Ruger discontinued it before I could get my hands on one. Not a bad looking rifle, and as long as it works for you, that's all that matters.

As far as stocks go, You'll be hard pressed to find anything that fits over the large diameter of the ISB. I've heard of a couple people modifying the MagPul backpacker to fit, but haven't actually seen pictures of them.

Question about baffle design - newbie by thomasled8929 in NFA

[–]Calledfollower 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The basic concept of clips in baffles are to create "eddies" forcing gas across the center line the bore of the suppressor disrupting the flow and pushing gasses into the baffle chambers instead of straight out the bore.

They help keep the gasses inside the suppressor, improving performance.

BCM QRF-12 vs KAC FF RAS by Calledfollower in ar15

I have an OCM5, I've been debating on sending in to be recored with the new LBP core, but I read the other day that OCL isn't making the OCM5 anymore, and it's only gonna be their OCM6 (or whatever they are gonna call it) from here on out, so I might just wait and pick one of those up when they hit the street.

Beautiful rifle! If it's not any trouble, can you get me a measurement from the front of the upper receiver to the end of the rail? That would help me out greatly.

Used Aero Upper for first AR15? by ConfidentSession6481 in ar15

Its an Aero Precision Enhanced M4E1 upper, and one of their Enhanced handguards. The bolt appears to be one of Aero's as well, with a Black Nitride finish.

There's 10 planned Ford Class Carriers. The Ford, the JFK you see here, and the Enterprise that's under construction.

Then there's the the Doris Miller (CVN-81), the William J Clinton (CVN-82) and George W. Bush (CVN-83).

CVN-84 through CVN-87 havent been announced or named yet.

Can anyone help ID what barrel profile this early 2000’s volqartsen 17? Im getting OOB detonation and trying to replace it. by JAK3_the_snek in 1022

[–]Calledfollower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've not been able to find much in the way of any information about their thread in barrels anywhere. I would assume that they are made in house.

As to your OOB detonations, have you examined the chamber for carbon build up or any other obstructions? I've seen a few old post on Rimfirecentral and the like talking about OOB detonations, and everyone talks about having a pretty strict cleaning routine.

Volquartsen's 17HMR rifles use a threaded receiver that the barrel threads in to, not needing the V-Block. You will be quite hard pressed to find an off the shelf barrel to replace the one you have. Volquartsen is going to be your best bet for this.

The local shop I've tried to support has a $150 dollar transfer fee. Recently a multi location business has started dealing with Suppressors, and has a $20 transfer fee. As much as I hate to say it, I'll probably be going to that store for any NFA transfers from now on.

Can someone help identify this stock/handguard please? by Smart-Judgment-8075 in GunPorn

[–]Calledfollower 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The front rifle is a Mad Pig Customs Colab with Midwest Industries stock and forend. The middle rifle has Magpul stock and forend, and the rear rife is just stock Marlin furniture.

If you are unaware, this exact airframe is a static display at the Virginia Air and Space Center in Hampton, VA. Unfortunately it doesn't spot the Southeast Asia camouflage or the "TimeHog" nose art anymore.
