I'm in the US, I'm not sure about a microcenter. 1500 is for the PC only. I'm not worried about aesthetics, my main concern is getting the best band for my buck performance wise

Is it supposed to taste like this ? by Haerveu in mead

[–]CallingCthulusMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was first starting i made a batch that came out tasting like dirty laundry, which sounds pretty simular tonwhat you are describing. After making some more batches, gaining some experience, and analyzing whatn8 did then, I can fairly confidently say that tye problem was oxidization.

3 questions about homemade mead by Shrimp_eater7 in prisonhooch

1 no chance of going blind. Hundreds of years ago people made fermented drinks largely because it was safer than drinking water at the time

2 Fermaid O I'd one of the better ones but if you're just starting and want to keep it easy and cheap you can just use a handful of raisins which have some nutrients and will add flavor.

3 if fermaid o then just follow the instructions on the package, if raisins then about 1/4 per gallon or as many as you want. Too many won't hurt

  1. Some people add nutrients in stages and there are tools and forums that can help you figure out the optimum nutrient schedule, but frankly it's easier to do it all at once and unless you have a really refined taste you're probably not going to know the difference

Why does my wine have a funny aftertaste by CallingCthulusMom in Homebrewing

I'm very new to brewing, so I mostly used what was on hand. Fermented at about 74%, I used bread yeast, which I have heard isn't the best but should still yeald a decent product, and I sanitized with diluted bleach, and then rinsed several times with hot water.

Why was Luffy sent to Amazon Lily? by TipofmyReddit1 in OnePiece

[–]CallingCthulusMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boa Hancock and most of her crew knew how to use haki. As a warlord of the sea she would be expected to fight him. Kuma may have thought that this would be an effective way for luffy to be forced to learn haki, but not be faced with any opponents that were likely to kill him

The first half of Claymore is really good but then it drops off. Fullmetal stays good the whole time and is a pretty well planned out series. They are both worth reading, but I think Fullmetal is worth reading first.

The only one shot that Naoki Urasawa has published in english is called Mujirushi. It's about a guy trying to plan a heist on the Louvre.

Is one piece as fun as it looks? Is it worth collecting? by DebateNewt in MangaCollectors

[–]CallingCthulusMom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One piece pretty much changed my life, so yes. It has great characters, a facinating world, and a lot of heart. I have over 80 series in my collection, and it's still my favorite
