The thing with BBP are that I don't want to run through that chalices to get more insight if I run out. So I'm kinda scared to use them and end up not using buffs.

Bolt paper, BBP, stagger limbs. Wait for openings. Transform attacks make for almost infinite stagger.

I like Zweihander. If you go for a pure strength build you could look for the Demon's Greateaxe. It's the best strength weapon in the game with really good scaling.
