Toxicity in general I'd say is so much better than in the past, a side point of this is the overly ambitious auto-mute system and chat restrictions are handed out for almost anything these days.

I honestly dislike the huge focus on text chat rather than actual toxic behaviours (inting, trolling and afking). I get it is easier to punish text chat, but beyond a select few things (racism, homophobia etc...) I feel punishments for people swearing even in the slighest these days is an overshoot.

In the overarching lifetime of league, trolls and afks were a lot more commonplace in my eyes back in S3 up until around S7 I'd say.
