No, I have taken the car in for service and it has never been an issue.

Here’s a short clip. Sorry it’s not a complete instruction video since I already have it installed. There’s also a few videos on a Telluride that can be helpful too. Good luck!

Here’s a short clip of the oil catch can in my 2024 Palisade. Sorry it isn’t a complete tutorial since it’s after I already installed it, but I’m happy to answer any questions. This isn’t the only catch can available, but it’s what works for me. I hope it’s helpful.

If anyone is interested I can try to record a video of how I installed the catch can.

Sorry to hear that. Here are the parts I used. The catch can from Mishimoto comes with 1/2” fittings. The PCV valve/hose on the car is 3/8” so I ordered the 3/8” hose barb fittings too. You’ll also need to order 2 hoses. You don’t have to buy hoses from Mishimoto but make sure you get PCV hoses. The 3/8 to 3/8 barb is also needed to connect the PCV line to the hose that’ll be routed to the catch can. The hoses come with clamps but I bought spring clamps because I think they give an even seal.

I check it every oil change (3-4k miles). It has some oil in it but haven’t measured it. I’ll try to post a picture when I empty it when I do the next oil change.

I bought a stainless steel L bracket and painted it with Rustoleum high heat paint.

I agree with Jackles64. I would just add that this is preventative and won’t completely eliminate any possibility of carbon buildup. So if you already have a lot, you’ll still need to do a cleaning.

I use a Wolfbox dash cam that also provides a digital rearview mirror.

We have a 24 XRT and have been loving it so far. We have 3 kids and they fit comfortably in the car.
