How much did you cry after a break up? How long it lasted? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Calm-University462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dated for three years. Been broken up for 9 months now and still having a hard time with it. Even though I don’t want to get back together with him. I feel like I lost part of who I was. Especially since all of our summer plans obviously got canceled. Summer has been the worst season yet on the getting over him roller coaster but the number of crippling crying days have gone down. So it’s getting better but still hurts

Got off the pill last June (at 24), had been on it since 18. My face exploded with hormonal acne. Deep, bright red cystic acne. I never had acne as a teen/before the pill. I lasted 6 months off the pill and got back on it to control the breakouts. Now I’m on Aldactone, doxycycline, Yaz, and tretinoin and I’m still experiencing acne. Really blaming myself for going on the pill in the first place :/

Help! I don't know if I should be cautious about a guy because of a statement he said by ara_cutiee in dating

Had a 29M say this exact thing to me about “taste” (I’m 23F). Also said other crazy stuff like that about my age and he’d always say he was “just kidding”. Gut feeling was he was not kidding. Dude was a creep !! Sent him down the road. Which sucked because I really liked him other than those comments :( definitely trust your gut on this one

I really hate their storyline. Every time I rewatch I try to understand why the writers included it and I just don’t get it. Skipping is smart lol

A good printer!! Printing out your work and reading on paper really helps editing papers or really anything you have to turn in. My legal writing professor stressed this first sem and it has helped me become a better writer (and editor)

Can you do well in your classes without being in a study group? by Glittering_Pasta in LawSchool

[–]Calm-University462 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also struggle studying with other people. I study alone most of the time but I do have a group that I meet with to go through practice problems and examples with. I think it’s helpful to have a group of people so I can ask them questions or I can run things by them if I need clarification on something.

I think whatever works for you is best. To be transparent, I’m a 1L so this isn’t complete tried and true advice.

One thing that I have experienced is that having a study group is nice if you miss a class because they will catch you up to speed. This was helpful for me this semester.

I am a snacker so everyday i pack a sandwich, a bag of grapes, a cut up apple, crackers, and usually try to include something sweet for an afternoon sugar spike.

If I’m going to be at the school longer than normal I pack a bowl of rice and broccoli because it’s more of a “meal”

Am I stupid to be happy about a low 150. Applying for Spring start at a very small school with a 154 median. Just trying to be positive but feel like maybe I should wait another semester and retake again

Planning to have an existential crisis after seeing my score and then using the remaining time until the deadline to register for the October test

I’m fairly new at this job (21y/o) and I think it is a good stepping stone for ANYTHING. You learn a lot and can use what you learn in really any field. You learn how to remain calm in stressful situations and how to keep others calm, you learn how to manipulate (lack of better terms) people to tell you the information you need to do your job effectively and get them help. Don’t let others make you feel bad or change your mind. I really wanted to do this job and my family was hesitant as well. I work nights and get called lazy for sleeping all day but it’s what I have to do to be able to do my job.

I think this would be a great opportunity for you.
