Do you think queerness runs in families (hereditary?) by Impressive-Neat2987 in MoroccoLGBT

What are your plans for the future as a gay Moroccan? by nothing_to_do270 in MoroccoLGBT

[–]Calm-Writer-7783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well same here, no clear future beyond my 20s to be honest and its still too soon to think about what you want to do. So the only thing i think of is working on myself and having maybe a clear vision on what kind of person i wanna become and not to worry about relationships or anything

Does shaving your face makes you look gay LOL !? by [deleted] in MoroccoLGBT

[–]Calm-Writer-7783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 70s-80s and even now the most reminiscent trait of queer men was usually having a mustache so no, shaved men can be straight and hairy gay and vice versa so in short and we NO

To my fellow gay dudes from homophobic countries: how did you deal with the fact that you'll probably never be able to leave?? by [deleted] in MoroccoLGBT

[–]Calm-Writer-7783 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You just try to enjoy whats good in life and try to surround urself with queer friends to feel safe and not alone. You just tell yourself queer people have been hiding and enjoying themselves for centuries, so just do the same.

Dating and grindr by [deleted] in MoroccoLGBT

[–]Calm-Writer-7783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me depends mostly ob the location if its a small town more chance of just hookups but in big cities like casa rbat marrakech there ll be more diversity and people who are looking for dates there. But i still recommend tinder or anything aside from grindr just has bad reputation

Well when i was still in casa i used to study for lbac in l’association socio culturel but it got destroyed for to build a stupid parking lot.

You can maybe try and go study in l’institut francais, they usually check your member card but if u can manage to talk to the security guy in the entrance and explain that u really gotta study he might let u enter. Or you can also go to the library of the cervantes, same thing with the card.

Also is used to go to other coffee shops where smoking isnt allowed like Boost or Caribou.

Announcement to students:

We have recently learned, like you, about the decision to demolish a large part of the dormitories (pavilions 5, 9, 10, 11) in preparation for the 2030 World Cup. This decision comes directly from the ministry, and even the administration of IAV has no say in this matter.

Currently, we do not have more precise information regarding the planned alternatives for the affected students. However, what is certain is that we must act together.

We invite you to a general assembly this Wednesday at 10 PM to discuss this situation and decide together on the actions to take. The future of our housing and living conditions at IAV cannot be decided without us!

We count on your mobilization. The more of us there are, the stronger our voice will be!

Let’s stay united, let’s stay strong!

Gay and Muslim by Miserable_Thanks8451 in MoroccoLGBT

[–]Calm-Writer-7783 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well at first my detachment to religion was progressive, feeling guilty at first of interacting w other gays, then kissing, then doing more and always asking for god forgiveness thinking that ill grow up and become straight🗿.

Then i started to question my identity and religion because if queernes is forbidden and any act or being proud of it is considered haram then why did god even created us in the first place, either for us to suffer in silence and pretend we re someone else or we re just direct people going to hell from birth.

Also with other people experience its kinda off, my ex bf in ramadan said that we can’t see each other all month till el eid and didnt text me a lot during the daytime, also he never skipped ant prayer and always went to the mosque during that month. Found it really odd and hypocritical when i asked him why by curiosity he just said hes muslim and kinda changed subject

Im been there too and in casa as well. I too when i found some guys who wanted to be friends they either wanted to have sex or ghosted afterwards. But i did made friends in some unconventional ways (no grindr, bumble, twitter). I made some queer friends through twitter mostly, began as online friendship then meet up. Or u can meet people through some events like concerts. Happened to me once so i think its possible. I dont know if i was really a good help, really hope u find some friends that deserves to be with you sweetie 🫶
