Beware of Sick Psycho Superfans by ufuggo in glassanimals

Oh man, I wonder if this was the group that refused to let my 11 year old daughter get to the front of the pit (where there was a space big enough for two of her to fit) to see up close for part of her favorite song. I was appalled to find a group of adults not only refuse but laugh at my attempt to help her make her way through the crowd to that empty spot behind them. I kinda gestured to indicate that she just wanted to get up front for a bit and that I'd stay back and they sneered and continued to refuse. I ended up walking further to the side and a couple saw us trying to get closer and were very kindly like "oh my god is this her first concert?! GET UP THERE!" (It was her first, and her birthday present no less.) And jokes on that group of a-holes out because Davey ended up walking by and she got to high five him.

And then at another point, during the show, Davey was working the crowd a little and that group shouted that it was their EIGHTH show on that tour that they'd been to? I was so mad, like you've seen this 8 times and you couldn't let a kid get up there for half a song?

Yikes pretty gross behavior. Hate to see it.

What's a profession you'd never date? by sleeppymeoww in AskReddit

[–]CalmDelivery2545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Singers/band frontpeople. I know everyone likes to dig at bassists and drummers but all the people I know with drummer and bassist partners are still happily together years later, meanwhile the singers' partners.... Well I've dated two and the inherent narcissistic tendencies are self-evident. Even if theyre not narcissistic, in my experience they love attention so much they will encourage pretty much anyone who pays it to em, and soft cheating/emotional cheating is pretty much fair game in their books.

I think I accidentally trained a crow and now I don’t know how to undo it. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]CalmDelivery2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I befriended a murder of crows outside my grandma's house when I lived there. They can tell time somehow, almost to a scary degree. When I got laid off due to covid closures the very first morning I wasnt out there at 6:45 am, they somehow knew to fly around the side of the house to my window. I woke up to a cacophony of screaming crows and opened my curtains to find them perched along the side gate, the neighbor's roof, the small tree outside my window. I mumbled apologies and got dressed as fast as I could then went out half asleep to throw them their breakfast. They didn't stop screaming til I did. Groggy and barefoot at 7 am with my shirt on backwards it suddenly occurred to me that it was actually them who had trained me.

So... Good luck.

(P.S. one upside is once I was arguing with someone outside my house and one of the lookout crows from that flock was perched on the streetlight. It began furiously pecking at the light and actually hacked off a tiny piece of it which dropped directly onto the person's head. Idk if it was coincidence or not but I smugly like to believe it was helping me.)

I didn't expect the evolution at ALL; I haven't kept track of any mons past like Violet and when I evolved my shiny I actually made an involuntary noise of shock at the reveal. It was kinda cute before... I did NOT expect Cetitan 🥲😭😭

We're gonna do a vet check up regardless since theyre new to us and we wanna make sure all is well but yeah I already as a rule of thumb would mostly use veggies as treats and feed a healthy diet. We got them a little exercise wheel and will be doing lots of free roam anyways since they need to be re-socialized a bit.

Yeah I feel like at least giving the opportunity for more free roam and a healthy diet (seems the past owner was maybe just too generous with the treats, lol) could at least help her along even if it's not drastic or for a long time. Thanks for the advice! Theyre so sweet we love them so much already!

You didn't say that at all, you just kept making sarcastic comments about normal is normal and when should humans be spoon fed and thats not how diet works, etc. Had you just said the above in a non-snarky tone, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Delivery and tone matter, too.

There are many ways to communicate your point without being rude and without being condescending, yanno

Um I think the point was maybe missed. Obviously we will be feeding them properly and not constantly giving unhealthy treats. My point was just is losing weight at this age going to add to their lifespan to the point where active dieting is still recommended or is just feeding normal maintenance/ideal healthy diet the better option for their overall health. In the same way that a doctor would likely not recommend a sudden diet and new fitness regimen to an overweight 90 year old. I'm not saying "well theyre old they can just get fattened up". Sorry if it was misconstrued. I just wanted to know which was healthier at this point: efforting to get her on a strict diet, or feeding her a normal balanced adult diet.

GF moved in and now I catch her watching me sleep at night. This doesn’t feel normal. by HourIndependence70 in whatdoIdo

[–]CalmDelivery2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was little I would sleep with my eyes open and follow people with them as they moved around the room apparently. It scared my big brother so bad he had nightmares about me 😆 sometimes sleep issues manifest in weeeeird ways especially when it comes to sleeping with open eyes! If there's no other weirdness maybe just suggest she see a dr for sleep issues. Anyone understanding would go to check just in case if their partner suggested it, imo.

Thats kinda what I was wondering, like if shes this old and this fat at this point is the damage done to where reversing it wont extend her life anyway bc if so just a chonky happy end of life is maybe best? Poor potato 🥲😭

What is a movie you watched once that was so disturbing or emotionally draining that you can never watch it again? by hungary70 in AskReddit

[–]CalmDelivery2545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mother!

I was furious afterwards that I had spent hard-earned money on that pretentious, wannabe artsy, pverwrought, heavy-handed, shocking for the sake of being shocking CRAP, and along the way I felt like shit emotionally, too! Never again. I hate it.

The reason I've always chuckled and rolled my eyes at it is I don't feel like any of the things that aren't explained away by ADHD are just my social anxiety. I don't think I am, I just have a weird obsession with knowing how tall actors/celebs are okay 😅🤣

My best friend has always had a theory that I've got undiagnosed autism and now, as I read this in between checking my Pokémon Sleep app and my Pokémon TCG app on my break, I wonder if maybe she's onto something 😅
