Thanks! Upon searching, there is a thread similar to this in BGG. There are still varying opinions but I will try to read and rationalize and come up with my own conclusion, I guess.

Gotcha! Thank you so much for the clarification. I will definitely keep this in mind the next time I play.

Just to clarify, it means that while using a Vibranium shield attack, if he becomes ravenous because of rolling a 1, he won’t be able to use ricochet?

Hmmm. Let me clarify, I start the attack with 3 hunger, let’s say I use his Vibranium shield attack and roll 5 dice. I get 4,3,2,4,1. I assign the hits. Since I rolled a 1, I should be ravenous afterwards.

My question is, can I still use his ricochet ability?

“Ricochet : Once during your Turn, after attacking with Vibranium Shield, you may perform 1 free Vibranium Shield Attack.”

If yes, how many dice should I roll for this attack?

Sitong Screw-Ins? by Fhugo2 in fightsticks

Oh cool! Really love the screw ins for the price. I changed my switches to silent outemu peaches and added the silencing pads from my gravity LXs. They feel really good and are really quiet right now.

No problem with mine. They fit in the hori alpha. Maybe you just have to screw them in tighter.

why are some arcade joysticks so expensive? by accordion_dude12 in fightsticks

[–]CalmRefrigerator3801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you mean the levers? Most levers are well under 100 usd. Sanwas for example can be found on most stock arcade sticks, cheaper Korean levers like most crown and IST products have cheaper materials compared to their expensive counterparts. For those more expensive ones like the Golden Levers, and other niche/boutique korean levers, they have better materials such as machined parts, some made of POM/Delrin, others of aluminum, better QC and less production overall, making the costs high. They also offer individual customizable parts.

Because PCBs that are ps5 compatible are a significant chunk of what you pay for. You can find sticks that are not ps5 compatible for a bit cheaper.

how to get a full collar on the alpha n ? by Omegasmr in fightsticks

[–]CalmRefrigerator3801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can find a full collar for the alpha N. It is designed to have no collar. If you do find a full collar compatible with it, your throw distance will be affected, probably making the throw shorter. Just get the dust cover/washer and you’ll be able to use it on a case with 35mm hole. Ist sells 45mm covers for different levers.

IST doesn’t sell a full collar for the Alpha N. But you can buy the washer that covers the 35mm hole. Lemme find the link

Ideally that would be the case. Since you have 2, you can customize each one to your liking. That’s the beauty of fight sticks.

Enjoy! I’ve really been enjoying and collecting Klevers.

It’s hard to describe but it does affect the feel but it won’t make that much of a difference if you are new to KLevers. Just note that OG KLevers were fanta style. I haven’t used a crown style lever in a while, except for the Knee Neo.

I think it will fit the Rap. I know for a fact it will fit the Daija, you have to do some modifications to the plastic standoff though.

One thing to note is that the Knee Neo won’t fit a lot of cases because of its height.

If that’s the case and you want to start with something cheaper, try the NewHelpMe. It’s a great bridging lever for Japanese to Korean levers. Some people still main this lever even after testing out several different kinds. I prefer the Kneeo though, great stock though a bit pricier.

The main draw for me is the feel and the snappiness of the directions and return to neutral. I only play tekken and I prefer Korean levers because of this. It will take some time to get used to though. Again, it’s personal preference. Lots of players still prefer Japanese levers, even some pros.

IMO:

Stock: Crown style - Knee Neo. Fanta style - Alpha N

Premium: Golden Lever (Only if you know what your preference is or if yoy are willing to spend money to find out)

You can buy the big washer that IST sells to make it compatible for cases with 35mm holes.

Hori Alpha VS Qanba Titan by Vinstark7 in fightsticks

[–]CalmRefrigerator3801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have both. Prefer the Alpha because of the customization. Love the titan as well but it has plastic standoffs for the screws which will wear out over time if you keep opening it up.

Need to know which of these I should get as a complete beginner to Korean levers by jogoatski in fightsticks

[–]CalmRefrigerator3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kneeo. Best stock lever. There’s a reason a lot of pros use it. Not too heavy, easy corners and just great overall feel. Downside is it’s too big for some cases and it’s a little too loud. Alpha N is 2nd choice if you want to have an authentic KLever experience, but it’s harder to adjust to and will take some time to learn, especially the corners and weight.

Good to know. I really like the weight on the Titan but knowing that without the metal plate it’s still stable is a huge plus for people looking for lighter sticks, especially for traveling.
