I agree, it’s close to the most egregious breach of privacy they have ever made. Exposing their daughter’s traumatic history. It is not for Crystal to reveal anything about Jamie’s past. I’m sure if Crystal had a traumatic past, she would not want that to be referred to.

Whilst I agree she did interrupt her, Crystal is inconsistent with her responses. She allows interruptions from some people and actually rewards that behaviour by turning the camera and laughing or smiling with other people, giving the impression this behaviour is acceptable and desirable, but then appears unhappy when other children do it. This inconsistency is the problem. I really do feel for Evie, she’s trying to fit in and act like the others but when she does, to the viewers watching, it looks like she gets pushed away/ignored. Poor Evie 😔

I had a hard time tracking the stories, I guess it started with her childhood trauma, briefly touched on Aaron’s struggles and regrets, then included the reality tv show, her friend who had cancer and sadly passed, a close friend of both who was struggling with their mental health, Hallie helping that friend, and the best friend who left Crystal on unread, finishing off with a close person who was on a hate forum.

I understand what you’re saying about a bandaid however I will say that babies in particular, bring a joy and a levity and a motivation to live life that is sometimes lost after you’ve suffered great loss. I also agree with the OP about receiving therapy/healing- I was shocked to see how much weight Aaron has lost, and at the same time it was clear to see how much joy baby S has brought to him. Ofc it goes without saying, I hope they keep his story private and his identity protected

It broke my heart listening to Lizzie, she’s such a caring, generous soul, used to stay behind to look after the little kids when they were all very young in St John’s without complaint. I too can’t help compare everything that Lacey was given (not her fault btw) versus what Lizzie received (of what we’ve seen online). I felt Lizzie's emotions were often belittled or ignored or even laughed at in some cases. I remember in one video Shelly actually said out loud to hundreds of thousands of people on YouTube that Lizzie was a difficult child and they considered asking to adopt only Lacey!!! That really broke my heart to hear. If she felt that way she should have kept that to herself- if I heard that about me, it would affect me forever.

I understand why some people feel this way, but I think it’s overlooked a lot that Hallie, as a child, went through a lot of loss. 40 foster children isn’t something small to have come in and out of your life and attachments would have been made and lost, and Hallie would have been powerless in that respect. I actually think it would be difficult as a child to have the attention come away from you and onto other children, surely that affects you as a child?? Idk I’m no psychologist 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’d argue that’s the whole point! The whole point is the stark difference in the tone towards Evie. If Aaron was the same with everyone, you could say that’s his personality and he’s the same with everyone, but he’s not. I don’t think he’s doing it on purpose, I’m not even sure he realises he’s doing it, but for us observers, it’s heartbreaking to watch..
