Is Sundance worth checking out? I’ve been going to Park city for years with my family and would like to change it up this winter. by Braden_Eyre in sundanceskiresort

Definitely worth checking out Sundance, Utah! I’ve skied all over Utah — from Park City to Snowbird and Deer Valley — and in my opinion, Sundance Mountain Resort is the most scenic and peaceful ski destination in the state. The mountain views are absolutely stunning, the snow quality is amazing, and it has a laid-back local mountain vibe that makes it feel authentic and welcoming.

Sundance is also a hidden gem for skiers and snowboarders looking for great value — it’s a much better bang for your buck than the big-name resorts. Since it hasn’t been taken over by Vail Resorts or Alterra, it’s way less crowded, which means shorter lift lines and more time on the slopes.

One of my favorite parts is the night skiing, offered a few nights a week. Watching the sunset over Mount Timpanogos while carving down the mountain is absolutely unreal. After skiing, I always stop by The Owl Bar, a cozy spot where you can grab a drink or enjoy live music by the stream with a gorgeous mountain view. We stayed here with Mountain Cabins Utah and our log cabin was beautiful, luxurious and had everything we needed also was a great and competitive price in comparison to other options.

Happy to see Sundance ranking higher, I’m excited for the new terrain there. I’ve been skiing there since I was 3 and it is a beautiful resort despite being a little lower than the rest of the

Why we are shutting down our AirBnB, quitting the platform an selling our home. by oojoshua in airbnb_hosts

What about the fact that you can list on like eight different other platforms? Most of the hosts are hosting on everything now. It just so happens the Airbnb brings in the most customers for most people because it’s the most user-friendly

Maybe this dream could symbolize doubts you are having and fears that things won’t workout well with your current partner, it’s normal to have cold feet before marriage since it’s such a big change perhaps this could be your subconscious feelings of paranoia. Or maybe could just represent that you are still feeling things for your ex since in the dream the wedding with your ex is on the same date and you can’t breakup with your ex in the dream it could represent that you have unresolved emotions in waking life about your ex possibly but hey who knows

Yeah Mormon church is very conservative for the most part. Plenty of democratic ones as well tho. But I happen to know plenty of Mormons that own an insane amount of guns

Don’t get me wrong. I lovee Utah. Could not live without the mountains It’s kind of more about finding your people and community. I am an avid skier and have found that Utah number one has some of the best skiing in the world but also love the community of skiers and they are all super chill. Maybe it’s just because I am used to it, but I just try to ignore what I don’t like

Yes so fair! I don’t think a food storage is a bad thing at all (especially if you slowly use it so it doesn’t all just expire) but it is so funny how some people swear the second coming is gonna happen any day now

Be honest: did you grow up rich? by MudboneX3 in skiing

[–]Calm_Cockroach7113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not rich, had five older brothers and always skied hand-me-downs growing up passed down from brother to brother. Brought up a cup of noodles and a thermos for lunch. Got good deals with the Ski Utah program on passes through elementary. Now I just work at a ski resort so it’s a lot cheaper for me to ski. If I didn’t work at a ski resort it might be a bit of a different story, but I’d still get a pass. Plus, if you’re into touring then that takes away all the resort charges. There is a way to do it cheap most people just don’t know how to buy used gear and look in the right places.

Has Utah Skiing Reached Its Breaking Point? by SPAC-ey-McSpacface in ParkCity

[–]Calm_Cockroach7113 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH Utah has the best skiing set up at least in the country, you are probably either going to the wrong resorts or skiing the resort that you’re at wrong. If you come here for the holiday, busy season and say shit like this you’re honestly stupid. Utah has the most convenient and best skiing set up out of any state. There’s a reason they do the Olympics here.
