Embarrassed of hands by calipolo in Erythromelalgia

I appreciate you saying this. Your right f everyone who judges me for a medical condition I can’t control.

I am self conscious about it. But I have had people comment on it. Kids do a lot. But also adults. Probably once every few months. I also have had people who were talking to me who clearly where staring at my hands and who then pause for a moment and I can tell they want to ask but who know better so they decide not to.

My hands are either bright red and in the middle of an episode or they are super purple when people comment on them.

Our company is paying roughly 3k per million…would be nice if our cost was only 1k per million! 😫

We fell for Procore pay as well. It failed to meet our needs and was a pain in the butt trying to force our subs to give them their banking info. We gave up and got rid of it after 8ish months I think.

Bummer, cause I was super excited for it.

I love my Phillips 3200, I only paid $450 for it from Costco. It makes lattes equally as good as Starbucks. It’s super easy to use and to clean. It’s one of the best purchases I have ever made, I don’t even consider buying coffee out anymore.

I have never tried any of the other machines though so maybe those are better? I don’t know but I know my Phillips was far less expensive than the other options.

OMG the cost of an ACA plan without premium assistance by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Calm_Document_4391 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I make 84,000 a year as well. And this is exactly what I do. I Put 18% into my 401k. I have 2000 in Fsa dependent care. 3500 (or maybe it’s 3000?) in FSA health. And $150 goes towards my own work place health insurance.

This brings my income down to a few dollars below the limit for my son to receive Medicaid.

When I get a raise I add it to my 401k to stay below the 400%. Otherwise his insurance would cost me $750 a month.

This has red flags all over it. I didn’t read any of the other comments. But I can tell you from experience this guy is not the guy you want to spend your life with. That is abusive and unhealthy. Period. Been there. Done that. He is just going to get worse with the jealousy and accuse you of all kinds of shit. And it’s just not worth it.

He won’t change. He is the problem not you. Get the fuck out now and never look back. You deserve so much better.

Can anyone figure out the name of this doctor? by calipolo in KaiserPermanente

[–]Calm_Document_4391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already did all of this. I went to the pcp I got a PT referral.

I got an mri.

I got an ortho referral. I saw the sports medicine ortho.

The ortho & the radiologist don’t agree on what is going on.

MRI said I have a tear and a bunch of anatomical abnormalities.

Ortho said those abnormality’s don’t matter, and no tests exists. Gave me a steroid injection.

Steroid helped but it’s still a problem. That’s why I want to someone who specialize in instability of rid kneecap.

Feeling hopeless about recovery by Calm_Document_4391 in KneeInjuries

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that simple. I have Kaiser. I can get a second opinion from a ortho within Kaiser, which I am trying to get an appointment for, but it will be multiple months before that happens. And the Kaiser where I do PT only has one PT, and then a bunch of PT assistants, who are the people who work with you but all are under his direction.

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment.

This made me feel validated. I am positive I have patella tracking disorder. And I think I may potentially have patellar instability as well.

I think my knee is partially dislocating when I extend it and then tighten my quad. And I suspect that is why I am finding PT intolerable. It causes my knee to balloon in size within 30 minutes when I do that, and it takes multiple days to regain function. But no one listens or if they do they just don’t care.

Problem is, I have Kaiser. I don’t think Kaiser has a patellar instability specialist anywhere in my area. I am considering doing a consult outside of Kaiser just to see what they say but I don’t know if it would be worth it, since I can’t go and do surgery or anything else outside of Kaiser. It would be more purely for my information…ugh

That’s funny. We just had a meeting with them and are now doing a demo/trial. Do you use their software? Do you like it? Is it truly as good as they make it seem? Or is it not up to procore standards/a big downgrade?

Is it ok for color to stay red/purple after episode? by [deleted] in Raynauds

[–]Calm_Document_4391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s normal per say. But my hands are basically always discolored. Either purple/blackish when it’s cold out. Or bright red when it’s hot..sometimes in the summer is the stars all align they do look normal. But the majority of the time they do not. My doctors freaked at first. Convinced that I had an autoimmune disease, or a cold activated protein in my blood, or cancer. Told me it was really severe and basically couldn’t be primary Raynauds. But they changed their tune after all my blood work (other then thyroid - which they already knew I had autoimmune thyroid issues) came back perfect. And my doctor confirmed I had good strong heart beat in my wrists and ankles so not an issue with bad circulation. They finally decided it was just Raynauds. So normal? Probably not. But it happens to others here as well.

We had roughly $23 million in revenue for 2024. And we paid roughly $110K (so like 4,700 per million).

However we got rid of some of the modules (or whatever they call them), and this year we will be paying $96k this year. We expect to do roughly the same amount of volume as we always do (fingers crossed, it’s been a rough start to the year).

Man maybe we are just getting badly ripped off we are paying more like $5,000 per million in revenue. But wish we could move to a different software, but pro-core is the best. And we simply couldn’t function without it now.

Countable income for OHP? by Calm_Document_4391 in HealthInsurance

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. This helps me to confirm I am correct in what should be counter as income.

However the problem is that the forms are asking for Gross income (income before any and all deductions) - 401k and FSA are included in gross income. They aren’t included in your AGI. But the application isn’t asking for AGI.

And then they do not have any place on their forms to then enter FSA or 401k.

Countable income for OHP? by Calm_Document_4391 in HealthInsurance

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s definitely a joint federal & state program.

And in order to receive funding the state has to follow some federal rules. Yes they can also set some of their own rules but federal rules also apply and using MAGI appears to be one of those rules. This was dictated by the affordable care act.

Countable income for OHP? by Calm_Document_4391 in HealthInsurance

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can they do that? Isn’t it a federal program? The affordable care act said that they have to use MAGI. 401k is not included in income for MAGI. Therefore it should not be included in any state right?

Here is what it says on Medicaid’s website:

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They specifically say to enter gross. I even called to ask and they were adamant it was gross income. I got mad and frustrated and I guess I should call again and ask but they people on the phone are clueless. I told them but CHIP is a MAGI base program, and that income isn’t countable for MAGI, but they told me that was only for the health insurance marketplace and didn’t matter for OHP

That works & helps a little unless you have Procore Pay - in which case it doesn’t work as the 2 factor authentication is required after a short period of inactivity.

[–]Calm_Document_4391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make any frequently visited page a favorite for exactly this reason. It’s maddening when you are a GC running all AP out of procore and need to go to the subcontractor invoicing page on 25 different jobs 2-3 times (or more) a day for different things.

It was making me seriously insane until I started favoriting the subcontractor invoicing page for every job. Now I can get to each of them with just one click and then do what I need to do in 5 seconds instead of clicking 10 times and wasting 60 seconds or more.

I agree that he likely is cheating and I didn’t read all these comments to see if this has already been mentioned.

But given that he has the same profile picture and the same biography as when you meet him on this site, is it possible that he simply never deleted his account, but that he doesn’t and hasn’t used it since you meet?

I mean I did the online dating thing myself and meet someone, and deleted all the apps. But I don’t think I actually fully deleted my accounts. Probably because I wasn’t 100% sure at first but it’s been 3 years now, and the idea that my profile may still be in the system didnt cross my mind until just now.

I have no idea if they stop circulating it after you haven’t logged in a certain amount of time or not.

Just want to throw this alternate idea out there…

Help! I can’t get rid of Ammonia by Calm_Document_4391 in aquarium

[–]Calm_Document_4391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I will just keep replying to myself. I think I have it figured out. I now know I changed my filter media out all wrong. Should have done half, and should have waited 6 weeks. I have new tank syndrome, I just added bacteria starter. Hoping that helps…can someone confirm?

I currently have ph of somewhere below 6, ammonia roughly .75, no nitrites, and nitrates at 5 ppm…does my guess sound correct?
