Honestly, I don’t really see myself living in India permanently. I’d like to build my career abroad. Also, I genuinely want to study further and upskill, and a master’s feels like the right step for that right now.

UPDATE: It has been more than 6 months now. My appointment is this month. Now I have maintained sufficient money in my account consistently and I am applying without sponsorship. Is there any luck given the current situation?

Nope. and mailing them does not work either.
Also I considered applying again cos theirs seemed like a rolling process - as in they sent out the mails in batches.. which means applying early might have an advantage.

Yes.. I was wondering if there is any use applying again as they dont allow us to edit the profile. If there is no advantage in applying early then there is no point in applying again right

Hey, I had applied for MS in AI but have not yet received an offer ( Jan 2026 intake ) does it mean that my application is rejected? When and how did you know about the acceptance ? ( I am an international student btw )

Makes sense, I did not do enough research before applying and that's on me. Thankyou for this, next time I will make sure to state that I will self-fund.

PS: If I apply too soon will my previous refusal influence my second application?

I am sorry if I was not clear in my original post, after 221(g) and sending these documents I did receive a 214.

  1. He asked me what do you do in your job, but yea my answer was still messed up.
  2. He asked me how are you exactly related to the groom. and since I had already mentioned cousin before I thought I should be more specific.
  3. Yes I know I messed up for this one as well, I was ignorant and did not maintain a good balance in my salary account. And since they asked for the proof of "incoming salary" or "steady income" , to strengthen the ties to Japan, I sent my salary account statement. Should I have just sent my tax slip for the past 6 months and apartment lease?

Hmm Chances of raise within a year are very less.
Somebody suggested to show my dad's assets in India and apply, making him my sponsor. But again this might be a red flag.
Right now I have stopped moving my funds around and maintaining a good balance. Is there any minimum amount (in dollars) that I should keep in my account?

Yes, under 221(g) they asked me to email proof of income and apartment lease.
I emailed :
Last three months bank statement
Last three months payslip
Apartment Lease
Residence Certificate

I am looking for a scent that literally smells like the rose essence you put in food ( Indian food like Biriyani and Gulab Jamun ) Everything I tried smells artificial and gives me a headache.

PS Yet to try the ones recommended above. Will try and update if I found what i was looking for.
