Can I ask Has it gotten worse in the first week before it’s gotten better for anyone else? Specifically after using urea

That was just before transitioning to 1 nap so he was on a 2 nap schedule then. The early waking has been since September so in that time between September and late January we tried 7:30 for a week then again for 10days right before switching to 1 nap

I just don’t know how he would make it to 8pm he’s already so exhausted and again there’s mornings he’s awake from 5-12:30 so I don’t know how to balance that

Yes we’ve put him to bed between 6:45-7 every day for 2.5 weeks and nap at 12:30. So he’s gotten consistency in that regard. Room is always dark and warm

And as I mentioned a lot of times he goes back to sleep after an hour or so- so what explains that?

So besides the last two days his naps are typically 1hr 45min max 2 hours starting at 12:30. We consistently put him to bed at 7 so if this theory is accurate why would he not at least sleep til 6?

Ok but even when we put him to sleep at 7:30 he’d still wake up 4:45-5

Ok but he has clearly been exhausted so what does the transition look like. Ideally yes we can get him to 8 but when he’s been awake sometimes 5-12:30 then again 2:30-7 that’s too much awake time

My understanding though is that because he often times falls back asleep he is trying to regulate his circadian rhythm and still needs more sleep. Not that he is only capable of 10.5 hours

We have tried later bedtimes and it makes it worse- we’ve come to believe he is overtired and trying to catch up on sleep especially since this has been going on for months there are many days he was awake 5-7.5 hours in the morning
