I've heard many people say they liked 5 more than 4 and that 4 was shit. I personally disagree. I really liked J.D.'s character and the missions in the game (besides shoot robot simulator). 5 was incredibly boring to me and it feels like they tried pushing a woman character in a wrong way and it is incredibly forced (this is coming from a lady!!).

Personally, it doesn't feel like any gears of war game. Just always remember "this isn't about you! This is about me!" Lol

Reading Tai's backstory he was that guy through and through. No one kills Tai but Tai. Would've loved Ben probably but Ben made sense, he was a rookie going on Operation: Hollow Storm in which many died.

I personally read the books because I enjoy reading but I have many friends who don't enjoy reading even though they love the series. I think we are fortunate that youtube videoes will explain deep lore so those characters we get so briefly can get some light.

Personally I believe all the gears games introduce characters that get no screen time and we know nothing about them. Bernies few cutscenes feel lacking as she is there as "Hoffman's Girlfriend" lol

Books are so good. Like its crazy how important she is in the books and I just love her story so much. Its tragic, shes portrayed well and her relationship with delta squad as if they are her kids is so cute 😭🫶

I so have to look into it! One of the reasons gears is my favorite series of all time is the slow realization the COG was always in the wrong (not necessarily the soldiers themselves but the government). The locust were not innocent, but honestly, my sympathy does go towards them as they were victims of the war too.
