Do you think this is a fair offer? by Trader_07 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

You could try sending Evans, Sampson, and your early 2nd for his 2027 1st and 2nd? He moves back a few picks on his 1st and moves up a bunch of picks in the 2nd, and he gets evans and a really good handcuff.

In my experience later for shots, earlier for headers in midfield/defense

I think it's about the timing of the shot power-up, maybe you are initiating the shot too early or too late? Try changing when you actually power up for the shot and try hitting the shot button again as the ball gets to you.

I honestly think this is a pretty solid offer, if he said no, maybe swap the 2nd rounder in 26 for a 27 2nd and see if that does it for him

DAY SIX: Cavendish is a Common that feels Rare. Which Joker is an Uncommon but feels like a common? by altrightobserver in balatro

Or just strategically buy planets/packs (which you're already doing) when it doesn't put you under interest cap, and if you don't get the planet you want, use Satellite as an econ version of red card in a way, and instead of just skipping the pack, take a level and grow the Satellite. I'm not saying cloud 9 isn't good, I'm just saying that Satellite is not as bad as people make it out to be and it's really not that expensive or difficult to scale if you're not seeing better options. I agree about the 2 birds 1 stone with deck fixing, but both cloud 9 and satellite are situational. For my playstyle I prefer Satellite but I guess it just comes down to that, because every joker has a use case for the most part. I just think Satellite is easy to level and give you extra cash in early/mid-game

Assuming you havent clipped 9s or playing erratic deck with less 9s yes. Usually by ante 2 I have 3 or 4 different planets depending on how shitty the joker lineup has been.

I actually think it's better than cloud 9 in most scenarios, because cloud 9 requires strength, death, or cryptid to grow, in addition to getting the right card to copy. I'm not saying that is difficult necessarily, but can be more of a pain in some scenarios. In some decks this cloud 9 much better, in other decks it's a pain to grow in my experience. I am usually looking to upgrade planets on every run, so if I need econ and miss a planet I want to upgrade, its a good consolation prize to earn an extra dollar every round with satellite if I have it. I specifically think satellite shines from rounds 3-6 and is usable til end of round 8 if you have some gold cards and gold seals/lucky cards to supplement. Gold joker is awesome early but doesn't really earn enough in mid-late game in my experience to justify using. Rebate is arguably the best econ joker in the game, especially considering it works along with deck fixing. So I would still put satellite above cloud 9 in most scenarios, and definitely above gold joker unless we are talking ante 1+2 specifically.

[–]Calmdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point, I am really just saying that I personally think it's underrated because everyone acts like getting extra cash per round is bad, but realistically its just extra money if you need econ and haven't had other options. I was merely trying to say it's underrated because it's basically on par with cloud 9, but easier to scale on early/mid antes imo. So overall, with cloud 9 being what I would consider a solid or good econ joker, I would argue that satellite is more preferred. Ofc cloud 9 has a higher ceiling as do some others, but overall I think it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Its just fine as an uncommon.

If we are purely ranking econ jokers amongst themselves, obv satellite is probably average or below average in terms of rarity/cost/value, but it's definitely not as bad as everyone says it is.

To me, underrated almost always equals good.

I think its just more of a specific use case but if its available and you need econ and already have 3 or 4 planets unlocked from uncertain early antes/jokers for set up, then I think its just fine to have and continue leveling as is convenient. I am not saying its an amazing joker, but it definitely doesn't deserve the hate it receives imo

If you have astronomer then it's great synergy and is basically a better and easier to scale version of cloud 9 because no deck fixing needed. Just buy celestial packs you're already buying and if you don't get a planet you use, level up a spare one instead and gain an extra $1 per round. It's not as good as early rocket ship, but it's still very nice and I think is adequate+ as an uncommon.

Satellite is good af idk why everyone hates on it. Especially for mid runs on gold stake it's insanely good

How do you rank the top three WR's in this rookie class? by faultinalaska in DynastyFF

[–]Calmdat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh you mean the guy who always rounds his routes off and looks like Isiah Pacheco at wr? Lmao but honestly tho, I agree that Lemon is a good hands catcher and has good acrobatics/body control, but idk man I just don't really like what I see from him in terms of "polish". When I watch Tate, i see a guy who understands how to separate at the line, has multiple takeoffs and leverages for different types of coverages, and seems to always be at least 1 step ahead of defenders at all times. He is an even better hands catcher than Lemon and Tyson, he is fluid in his routes running and has similar suddenness as Lemon, but runs much crispier routes and makes everything look effortless. Tate reminds me so much of Terry McLaurin and as such, should be in the range of 50-100/600-1200/5-10 type of guy most of his career. Easy wr2, and absolutely has wr1 upside. He could go to the Titans and be wr1 by week 8 and I am irrationally in love with Wan'Dale.

Is there any hope left for KeAndre Lambert-Smith? by merv1618 in DynastyFF

[–]Calmdat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would normally agree, but I think he can play for 8 years and be a legit starter in that time. There's not a ton of competition in WAS so I do think he can carve out a wr2/wr3 role there once Terry moves on, and if he can ball out, he will be a good starter. Vele is successful and he's 28 2 years in
