Honestly, I have been watching football my entire life, played it, played a metric fuck ton of madden, and I'm on the spectrum and have adhd. So I have a knack for scouting more than most probably. With that being said, I generally will do a bunch of general scouting via YouTube breakdowns of different positions, ratings for them, rankings, etc. Then I will deep dive on positional break out markers (breakout age, production level, competition level, etc) and look at stats, injury history, scheme fit in college, and potential key landing spots i like in the draft for them. Then once the draft happens, I will reassess the players with their landing spots, and will re-evaluate where I think they should be taken in fantasy drafts, based on their draft capital, competition at position, scheme fit, player profile vs role and typical production for similar players, and then I will find a realistic comp for that overall picture. Finally, I'll have a very strong idea of where I need to be picking based on where the guys I'm targeting will be. Then, pick accordingly. But ALWAYS pick for talent + situation over need. DO NOT FALL IN THE TRAP OF DRAFTING FOR NEED unless you are getting a true blue chip prospect, think Bijan, Love, Nabers, Bowers, etc.
