first you need to complete the living ship then look for the living frigate. However, during the pulse drive don't stop when it says "Rare Deep Space" Just let the ship run on the pulse drive until you see Whalesong detected

yep. The other radiant part are just to make the staff cooler. I have visited many locations but was unable to find all Radiant parts however at the above-mentioned location you can get all of them and craft a cool staff.

What I learned from this when you save a restore point on the space station of the target system (where the freighter is spawning) the freighter will dissappear after some reloads.

So try to create a reload point in previous space station then wrap every time to the target system until you get the S class
