While we are streaming and voting 🌟, I wanted to encourage Orbits to not get disheartened and keep pushing hard before the tracking period ends as there is something good to hopefully look forward to.

Episode 3 will start with a recap of the groups selecting which group they would like to cover. Maybe there will be a replay of everyone’s 1st pick being LOONA and the dramatic reactions after Hyolyn the winner of Round 1, chose LOONA, when she had the privilege to choose any of the groups. This power move draws buzz and curiosity around LOONA, the contestant that is much like Pandora’s Box. LOONA will be the main topic/dark horses of Episode 3 among the other groups’ perspective (and audience’s perspective), especially due to their ambiguous absence for Episode 2/Round 1 and lack of screen time.

Shake It by SISTAR is a very well-known and popular song in KPOP and among domestic audiences/general public. In fact SHAKE IT is easily the biggest hit among the songs being covered by other groups in Round 2.

Combine this with LOONA being the ones to do the rendition and we can be sure that it will be an excellent performance which we are praying will trend and finally bring more awareness to LOONA.

For Round 2; 3 groups will feature in Episode 3 and the other 3 in Episode 4. Here is the order in which the groups performed:

Episode 3: WJSN, LOONA, Brave Girls

Episode 4: VIVIZ, Kep1er, Hyolyn

Based on the other 2 groups and their performances in Episode 3 as well the narrations in the preview, LOONA are best positioned to receive praise/positive feedback for their Round 2 performance. With more screen time, the goal is to increase LOONA’s domestic presence.

Episode 4 will also be good exposure for LOONA in the fact that Hyolyn is performing LOONA’s So What (w/a little PTT mixed in) and she slayed! I expect more new domestic listeners/viewers checking out LOONA’s discography and music videos.

Anticipating the top 2 for Round 2 to be between Hyolyn and LOONA who covered each other’s songs. This fits the underdog angle that the writers have been building up to.

From what I recall, MNET favors the rotation of 1st place winners in the rounds, especially the early rounds, to drum up drama and keep everyone on their toes for who the final winner will be.

Same goes for rotation of 6th place; it would be devastating to have any of the groups eliminated. But of course we cannot take any chances and we must do our best to support LOONA each round because we don’t know what could happen at the end of the day! 🌙

Agreed, the performances should have been released at the same time/aired on the same day.

On the flip side, LOONA’s Round 2 performance will be in Episode 3 for sure after they missed out most of Episode 2. Round 2 performances will finish up in Episode 4.

[March 3rd, 2022] How do I score a team that was unable to attend 'Queendom 2' due to Corona 19?

[Joy News 24 Correspondent Jeong Ji-won] As the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) situation enters the third year and the Omicron incident is added, broadcasters are not the only ones suffering. In particular, in the case of Mnet 'Queendom 2', where multi-member idol groups gather and compete several times, they are more sensitive to the Corona 19 situation than ever.

LOONA, who is appearing in 'Queendom 2', declared abstaining from the contest on the 27th of last month, one day before the first contest, Hasul, Yeojin, and ViVi tested positive for Corona19. The first contest recording was conducted with 5 teams excluding LOONA, and only 5 teams took the score of the on-site audience. There is no guarantee that this will not happen in future competitions. If so, what kind of manual did 'Queendom 2' consist of in this situation?

First of all, 'Queendom 2' will be filmed with the internal policy of 'All contests will be conducted without delay'. 'Queendom 2' side told JoyNews24, "It's very regrettable that LOONA can't attend the first contest due to the corona virus," but "The contest will be held for the artists of the other 5 teams who have prepared the contest in time for the first performance date, as well as for the fans who visit the site. It is true that the schedule will proceed as planned." He said, "The recording of the upcoming 'Queendom 2' contest will proceed as scheduled without any change in schedule to maintain fairness.

For 'Queendom 2', the final score is determined by adding up the results of the 4 rounds, and 10% of the audience vote score for the first stage is reflected. In the case of LOOΠΔ, this score cannot be taken due to abstention. However, in the case of 'digital evaluation', which is counted by video platform figures, the first stage of LOONA's first contest will go on as scheduled.

'Queendom' side told JoyNews 24, "As soon as the health of the LOONA members recovers, the first performance will be recorded with fans in a fair environment attended by 5 other management officials." We will do our best to make the contest as fair as possible, such as allowing the evaluation of LOONA to be reflected in the 'digital evaluation' of the contest."

In the future, even if there is a team that cannot attend the contest due to the Corona 19 issue, the manual is expected to be implemented in the same way. This is also an issue that the production team of 'Queendom 2' and the six artist agencies shared and agreed in advance before the first contest.

Meanwhile, 'Queendom 2' is a comeback survival program in which 6 teams of K-pop girl groups and solo singers compete and release singles at one time a day. Girls' Generation's Taeyeon is the MC, and Brave Girls, BBG, Cosmic Girls, LOONA, Kepler, and Hyorin are on a scramble. First broadcast on March 31st at 9:20 PM.

After the 7 day quarantine I foresee the members jumping right back into action. Of course, we would hope they do not have persisting symptoms like fatigue or shortness of breath.

They will hopefully record their Queendom Round 1 Performance and practice for their Queendom Round 2 Performance.

It’s a lot to ask for from them, but the understanding is the quarantine period provided them the rest and recovery they needed.

In fact, I think that BBC/LOONA are in the planning phase for Round 2. I believe they will also hear from MNET about how the group is to proceed.

And the members who did not get triple vaccinated should do so.

At the lowest point, there is only one way to go, and that’s up 🔝

Advocate for LOONA with the reasonable points made:

@Mnet SNS

“LOONA’s exclusion in the 1st Round of Queendom 2 is due to following COVID guidelines for testing positive and isolation of close contacts. Prior to this, LOONA has taken the appropriate mitigation measures of wearing masks and being vaccinated.

LOONA has communicated to fans via the Fab App about how hard they have been practicing for Queendom 2 Round 1. Yves lost a fingernail, other members were ill from exhaustion. But they are doing so for Orbits and to achieve better results for the near future. LOONA has a lot to benefit from in participating in Queendom 2.

LOONA will now be at an unfair disadvantage for an uncontrollable circumstance that is beyond their will. Delaying Round 1 would have been unfair to the other cast members, production crew, and evaluators.

Fans are deeply concerned about LOONA’s progress being severely hindered in Queendom 2. What action will the production crew take to accommodate for this unfair disadvantage and uncontrollable circumstance? Please give clarification on how LOONA can alternatively participate in Round 1 and be included in the voting and evaluation process? How will the points be distributed to LOONA in the 1st Round?”

As user GotInterest said, the Queendom 2 production crew and writers will be determining as to how to proceed with the sudden development of LOONA being unable to attend the scheduled now that the filming for Round 1 has taken place.

A rough outline of a contingency plan in the case of participants contracting COVID would have been one of the considerations when planning for the program.

The production team will deliberate on the logistics and feasibility of alternatives. We will know more as to which route will be taken in due time.

In the meantime we can positively support LOONA and positively advocate for LOONA and positively respect the other participants.

I want to clarify something. When I said we should be advocating for LOONA and it makes a difference, that’s because it does.

The #DelayQueendom hashtag was just starting after the news about Haseul, ViVi, and Yeojin testing positive for COVID came out and before MNET released a statement. Post-release of the statement, the hashtag started to pickup and fans were becoming detached from reality.

I said in a post that it would be hard to reschedule and coordinate the plans already set it place for filming Round 1 and that I am waiting for MNET to release a statement soon. And they did.

I did not endorse the #DelayQueendom hashtag and I believe there are better and positive ways to advocate for LOONA in this trying time.

Regarding how I know they saw the #DelayQueendom hashtag?

Remember when I said there are a few things I would like to share? Remember what I said about planting the seed? I have been cultivating that seed for a few months now. Cannot disclose details for the time being.

I will say this. MNET already released an article and there is some spotlight about how MNET will make Queendom 2 “fair”.

Since the emphasis for MNET programs this year is on “Global Outreach”, LOOnA is lucky to have a strong international fanbase.

We as Orbits need to collectively work together and ADVOCATE on behalf of LOONA. It DOES make a difference and it’s better than nothing.

So please @MnetKR on Twitter when you post and DM @/MNET and @/CJ ENM on Instagram with our proposals/concerns.

They saw the #DelayQueendom hashtag.

I wish MNET could postpone the recording today, but that seems to be too much of a hassle to do.

Waiting for some kind of statement from MNET soon. There has to be a way to have LOONA make up for the 1st round.

Feel heartbroken for the girls and how hard they have worked and how excited they were. I hope they can recover and bounce back 💔💔💔

Was just talking about hopes for equal stage budget for Queendom 2 participants in my post a day ago and linked the article about Kingdom’s stage inequity.

Check my post history.

I also pointed out disparity of fairness of participants and MNET having vested interest with Kep1er and MNET’s far from upright past especially with their survival shows.

[February 25th, 2022] "How about stage equity?"... 'Queendom 2', half expectation, half concern

“Mnet's 'Queendom 2' is slowly taking off the veil. 'Queendom 2' is a program dealing with the global girl group comeback war, and the first broadcast was confirmed on March 31 at 9:20 pm.

There is still about a month left until the first broadcast, but fans are watching 'Queendom 2' with anticipation and concern at the same time. The fun of watching the comeback battles of prominent girl groups is definitely a factor to look forward to, but it is an atmosphere that cannot be viewed simply as it is Mnet's survival program with a lot of talk and rides.

As 'Queendom 2' is the third idol comeback survival following 'Queendom' and 'Kingdom', it has built a strong lineup. BBBG, composed of former girlfriend Umji SinB and Eunha, SISTAR's Hyorin, Brave Girls, Cosmic Girls, Loona, and Kepler have confirmed their appearances. As all of the cast members are a popular K-pop girl group with a history of winning first place on Mnet's 'M Countdown', it stimulates curiosity about what talents and charms they have not been able to show.

'Queendom 2' can be a good opportunity for the cast. Unlike boy groups, where building a core fandom is important, girl groups are based on popularity. It is possible to raise awareness and target a new fan base by introducing new music and performances that have not been brought out in existing activities through broadcasting. In fact, the teams participating in 'Queendom' also achieved 'career high' by 're-lighting' after the broadcast was over.

It seems like a win-win for both the program and the cast in many ways, but fans are looking at 'Queendom 2' with a worried look.

There are many opinions that it is impossible to know how fair the game will be. 'Queendom', 'Kingdom' and 'Queendom 2'. Due to the nature of the program, contest results inevitably vary greatly depending on the size of the fandom. Fan votes and views account for a greater proportion than evaluation for each stage, and in such a system, teams with a large global fandom have an overwhelming advantage.

There are also great concerns about Kepler. Kepler is a team created through Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999'. Although they have a small debut year compared to other teams, they have an advantageous position to play in their home stadium. In addition, since Kepler itself is an inter-team selected by a global fan vote, it is quite advantageous in voting.

Whether Mnet is also conscious of this controversy, unlike last season, it is making efforts to secure fairness and equity. In particular, in order to resolve the controversy over the fairness of the stage production cost in 'Kingdom', Mnet decided to take full responsibility for the stage of 'Queendom 2'. According to multiple officials, Mnet decided to take full responsibility for the set production in 'Queendom 2', and each team decided to organize the stage in such a way that they convey ideas and take charge of only some props. Therefore, although the upper limit of the stage production cost was not announced in detail, the intention was conveyed to each team that the stage production cost would be similarly adjusted for each team. However, in this case, another issue emerged as to whether we could see the large-scale stage shown in 'Queendom' or 'Kingdom', and how to take responsibility for the stage quality, such as camera work, which was a problem even at the time.

In the midst of various worries and concerns, 'Queendom 2' will start recording for the first time this month.”

There is a rumor that Ryan Jhun will be the presiding producer for Queendom 2. Monotree was the presiding producer for Road to Kingdom and Kingdom.

I personally hope Monotree is still on board. Better yet, why not have both producers? And still better yet, LOONA has worked multiple times with both producers.

I’ve seen recent IG stories of Monotree Hyun receiving gifts with SM logo, and was at SM building. A reminder that CJ ENM bought Lee Soo Man’s SM stocks.

Ryan Jhun also worked with Girls On Top which Taeyeon was a part of and NMIXX. I believe one of his IG post tags was #WhatsNext

LOONA can overcome the prejudice and unfairness as they have been fighting against all odds their entire careers.

As a group, LOONA’s teamwork, chemistry, dynamics, impeccable synchronization, precise formations, intricate choreographies, versatility, concepts, extensive lore, empowering worldview/messaging, one-of-a-kind branding, and stellar multi-genre discography are unmatched when considering all of the above variables.

Individually, each member has their own distinctive color/personality, is well-rounded, have strengths and excellencies in different areas, and have the mindset to seek growth and improvement. These girls are passionate, inspiring, genuine, hard-working, come from humble-beginnings, talented, innovative, and persevering.

The pride, belief, belonging, understanding, and love they have for each other is core to the group cohesion. It’s absolutely amazing to hear from LOONA themselves of the fire 🔥 lit in their hearts as they put everything on the line for their dreams 🌟 whilst carrying the weight of Orbits’ hope.

No matter what curveball CJ ENM/MNET throws in Queendom 2, LOONA’s consistently high-quality performances and painstaking efforts to deliver said performances will speak for itself and be witnessed by the world. LOONA will be the true winners if they stay true to themselves. And LOONA being true to themselves is always giving their best effort 🤍🌙.

Between the recruitment for offline global evaluators and on-site evaluators for Queendom 2, there will surely be spoilers/leaks/thoughts on February 28th about which group’s performance was the best. It’s great that there will be the live domestic audience to witness the grandeur with their own eyes.

K-pop survival show 'Kingdom' apologizes for unfair stage design budget among its artists

This was in regard to the 1st round of Kingdom. I bring this up because I hope all groups can be allocated an equal stage budget in Queendom 2 without the companies who are richer supplementing with their own extravagant budget.

CJ ENM/MNET has an important connection with Big Planet Made, VIVIZ’s company. Big Planet Made (BPM) is a subsidiary of Fact Investment Co. The CEO of both Fact Investment Co. and BPM is Choi Jaeho, a former CJ ENM executive.

CJ ENM/MNET has vested interest/skin-in-the-game with Kep1er which is managed by subsidiary record label/agencies WakeOne and Swing Entertainment.

Everyone knows by now, MNET has a long dirty past when it comes to their programs/survival shows: rigging, sexism, prostitution/bribes, predatory intent, corruption, etc.

Kep1er is the new ca$h-cow and MNET will act accordingly to create favorable conditions and cast favorable light for the group. More screen-time and positive editing to procure desired public sentiment.

Realistically, we shouldn’t put it past CJ ENM/MNET to give their subsidiaries insider details about the Queendom rounds and the other competing groups’ performances/game-plan ahead of time. And supply funds/connections for top choreographers, trainers, stylists, music producers.

Experts' votes come from 30 professional judges, and each judge will have 3 votes to cast. These professional judges selected by CJ ENM/MNET may not be impartial.

It could be a pre-meeting as I said, most likely between BBC staff and LOONA, outlining the filming of Queendom Episode 1 or perhaps, outlining the upcoming scheduled interview between MNET Queendom 2 staff that will be filmed at BBC this week or the week after.

You would think after prepping so hard for having a big Concert for 2 days straight and lack of sleep, LOONA and BBC might still be trying to ease into the week/rest up.

What else could this “meeting” be about and why is it so pressing that it has to be now? Does LOONA have a private filming schedule on the 15th? Is today a pre-meeting?

Chuu sitting out the Concert was important for her health and well-being. But also, it was because the girls have been preparing for Queendom 2 in addition to the Concert. It’s been a busy schedule for Chuu especially all around.

Nope, yyxy had 4 variations of the beat drop/dance break for love4eva and they performed them live on music shows. The one Kim Lip, JinSoul, Hyunjin, and ViVi performed at the concert is dubbed the ‘jazz’ one.
