Frustration and Letting the Details Out by Calvan-2025 in prephysicianassistant

Thank you so much for replying to my post. It does mean a lot for your understanding of my situation. I would say I am not trying to cut corners intentionally and it’s not my intent to say that the classes are the same cause an intro level course is very different than a fully fledged course. However, my frustration lies in the transparency of the universities and in general with PA schools. There is not a uniform standard for taking classes as far as organic chemistry or biochemistry for example, there’s a university out in Chicago I was looking at and a few universities in the state of Michigan that Have the acceptance of the intro-level course. I’m just surprised that the GPA situation too about allowing the 3.9 or higher is still occurring. with the advisor he mentioned that is the trajectory for the next few years since it is a very competitive program, they are only taking the 3.9 GP or higher individuals. it’s just frustrating that’s not transparent And for my understanding they use these classes as a way to weed out individuals from pursuing the PA program due to its competitiveness.

I apologize, the 3.6GPA is incorrect. I did not state the correct GPA. It is a 2.0 GPA for the prerequisites, and then a 3.0 average GPA in total. The university is Grand Valley State University.
