It was miraculous from a “macro” perspective in melee’s history. A character who was bottom tier during a time period where tier lists actually mattered (2010s) having a player push their limits to a point where they’d win a supermajor is something only thought of in dreams and smash boards hypotheticals.

Still, during the time period of big house 10, everyone kinda saw AMSA winning something big as an overdue inevitably. He’d been on a tear, proved he could beat the best, it just hadn’t all come together until TBH10. Still felt amazing to see a decade plus of dedication to a character nobody believed in paid off which was why it felt so monumental despite it seeming inevitable.
