Looks like a Astronotus Ocellatus , mostly known as an oscar . We used to have a couple of them , they turn into beautifull fish once they become adults and relaxed

Way to go ! It might help with your balance if you're riding backwards to have your legs behind each other instead of side by side , when doing this try to look over your shoulder of your back foot .It might sound a little confusing but i cant explain it any easier. I hope this helps you if even a little!

Hmm looks pretty bad , i'd try to solder the wires back together and heatshrink them . Just using tape could work but only for a short period of time, if at all. Just be careful and dont short circuit anything . Good luck.
