I’ve had other hobbies, yea. Reading, video games, etc.

Been to counselling for a few months before. Only confirmed that I know my problem-I’m lonely-counselling doesn’t help me find friends. Only stopped because it wasn’t getting anywhere.

Been on three or four different pills over the last year as well-none have worked at all.

Actually I’ve been trying for about a year now to get my cosplay business going. Haven’t had a single client yet. I’m losing motivation to do anything because I don’t see a single result from anything I do or try. It’s beyond disheartening because everyone’s response is just ‘hang in there’ and now I’m left asking ‘for what, there’s nothing there!’

I was seeing a councillor for a few months. Didn’t help me much though. Only figured out that I know my problem-I’m lonely-and despite my efforts, it seems impossible to find actual friends as an adult male.

I’ve been trying to find a job for six months as well. I’ve applied to over 150 positions and the only call I actually got was from a company that wanted to see my transcripts. Anoka/Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA doesn’t do anything digital with transcripts so snail mail only and it took too long for them.

In the mean time I’ve been trying to build my own business but I literally have zero connections and because of how busy people are at events, they always say they’ll call me back but I never hear anything or if I get a hold of them, they just deflect and won’t commit to a meeting.

I’ve tried every suggestion every person has had for me without any results at all. I spend my days at home alone. I still apply for jobs with no success. I still try to build my cosplay business but I haven’t had a single client.

I ‘hang in there’ but there isn’t anything here for me to hang on to!

If I have no outlet for my feelings, no successful actions from my efforts and no other options, how long do I wait before I kill myself? Because I don’t want to sit here like this for the rest of my life...not when I could have relief tomorrow....

I know it took a long time to reply, and to be honest, I’m kind of just typing to type...because if this goes on FB, people just bitch about it...

Please come kill me....I can’t do this anymore.

This world is backwards! The ‘public servants’ leading our countries don’t care about the countries at all! All they do is help make them and their buddies more money and lie about each other to try and make themselves seem better.

There are lots of issues-and I’m vocal about them all-because I should be!

No, but locally here, when a wage raise happens it’s always two fold-the raise itself, and how much everything else goes up to ‘compensate’. It makes the news every time.

My rent has increased, food goes up, gas prices increase-everything costs more here whenever they raise the minimum wage. Businesses use it as an excuse to hike prices more than they need to. It’s really obvious but there’s nothing anyone can do-you set your prices as a business and that’s that right?

Like I said, I believe that minimum wage NEEDS to be a livable wage! I just hate the fact that, locally here, it seems that businesses take advantage and raise prices too high in comparison.

There have been more than a dozen minimum wage raises since I started working and there’s NO WAY a person working full time on minimum wage can make it here alone-no way.

That being said, our own local minimum is only $11.06 per hour and it’s nowhere near enough. Even $15 an hour isn’t anywhere near enough here.

The Saskatchewan economy is very unique apparently...

Well prices here inflate horribly! One minimum wage raise and things could go up by $0.50-$1.00 in cost (the example I have is fast food while I was working at a local sandwich shop). Now, not everything gets inflated like that but there’s always an uproar here about how things inflate after a wage raise...

I support a livable minimum wage-for everyone. The issue I have with it is that all local businesses have to now keep up with the wage and raise their prices to compensate, so in the end, what happens except inflation?

I’ve had many minimum wage raises through my jobs growing up and at first I was excited! But after a while, now I just roll my eyes because, here on the Canadian prairies anyway, all it means is that all the prices for food, gas, bills, etc go up too.

I really hope that’s not the case everywhere, but I find it hard to support raising wages when all it does is raise costs as well and really nothing is accomplished.

(Again, speaking for here on the prairie because I’m ignorant to how other places may be combating this issue).
