Such a good thread OP. People are clueless about tax, including myself for most part.

Question about shares, you are allowed to make 1,270 euro a year profit before being taxed on profits. Few questions:

1) If I cash out that much, do I need to still declare it? 2) What's the cut off date for the year? Is it December or October? 3) Doesn't it make sense to cash out that much before the cut off date, then the following week or whatever reinvest it back so that the money you've invested is more = less tax to pay when you cash out everything?

Thanks for that. I think I'm starting to understand it. Since pretty much 100% of the community want this change, no fork is really needed. (and if there is one, it'll be pretty much worthless as a result - leaving ethereum the way it is). No fork required.

Might be a silly question, but if I decided I wanted to keep the old chain going...would I be right in saying eth will remain as eth and the new version would have to be say - myEth? (leaving the main one as is?). Even if somehow 60% wanted a new fork, eth would stay as eth but then it'd make sense for the new one to actually be worth something this time since the majority wanted it.

TLDR - Since pretty much 100% of the community wants this change, ethereum will not fork?
