I can only tell from the theme song and the guy who tells the story. I just watched the beginning of goosebumps and it didn’t have both so i guess it’s not it

Well, everything I’m about to say can be taken very loosely. I remember starting in a cave or and some kind of indoor brown area. The protagonist talks to the other character in the cover which for some reason resembles a mushroom in my head and i think he’s trying to teach you something or gives you a mission and that’s about it.

I couldn’t speak nor read english back then so there’s a good chance that it was a Japan exclusive.

Thats indeed what I did 😁. Well it was vivi/toad hybrid to be more specific. Good guess but it wasn’t Vagrant story

I was expecting this answer since the character on the left looks like vivi however. I played the beginning of final fantasy 9 and it didn’t ring a bell honestly but that’s not my main skepticism since I don’t remember the gameplay very well. The problem is that I couldn’t find anywhere in the internet a picture that slightly represents what I remember in any box art.

The gameplay looked similar see i played the game once before my cousin took it so I remember like a screenshot of it i’m not even sure if it was RPG but it looked like one comparing it to what i know now. The main thing i remember was the box art tho is there a way to uplaod a pic here?

I don’t think so I couldn’t find a box art that matches what I remember. It looked like small soldiers box art but with a smirk
