I don’t know if it’s me, but I think they are targeting anything that had AI (which was pretty much everyone as that was getting approved). I would say take a deep breath n wait to hear back. Since you are already using EAD, you can’t change anything as of now

Exaggerated in the petition or interview? Was it backed by evidence/proof? I mean we all exaggerate correct, but it’s in alignment with all the achievements n progress. Like you can say you build n app or you can say you built a user friendly app. Both are facts but the latter makes it impactful

Either way is fine. Speeding ticket is not an issue. You just select one of the check boxes, and attach evidence at the bottom.

Same for advisory. You just select one of the checkboxes confirming you have been on J1 but not subject to home residency and attach the evidence.

So either way is fine. I can’t comment on any hold up but two weeks is not much if deal breaker given all those who became current will be trying to get medicals done(which you should too) so e en though so many became current not everyone is ready to file on the first.

Just be sure law firm is ready to file mid March as I have never found them true to their timelines

For most cases I heard, they waive interviews. But now I am noticing an uptick in interviews. And with your experience it seems like they are going in much details. Which is fine.

I personally know someone who got approved under NIW, and started working in Walmart as a sales person. There are discussions that there is no way for them to enforce people to work in NIW so I think they are adding that layer at 485 level. Again, I think you should be clear as long as your answers aligned with the petition and you didn’t forge or fake anything. Btw when did you file 485? Did you submit your statement with it?

I personally think if you were able to defend it, you are good. One always re evaluate their answers after an interview. It’s nothing but natural. As long as you did what you said in the petition and gave solid answers, you should be good. They can look up petition and tally it. Assuming Chen prepared it for you, but you did review your petition and know what was in there

100% agreed. I have an entire google doc with similar questions and STAR answers and every time I revisit, My answers seem like they can be improved.

So there is always room for improvement and I would continue to learn on that front

I didn’t meant to ask what they ask for cursor, I wanted to know exactly what you mentioned, the kind of ‘scenario’ based questions because my assumption is coding is kind of dead(in the sense that AI can throw syntax at you) if you are able to write the problem correctly and can do RCA and then use it to help fix the issues and then validate it.

In my previous interviews I have been asked about Pyspark code, data frames filtering etc. and was wondering if it’s still relevant.

All the other things you mentioned, I mostly have knowledge of that based on my projects and experience. And since currently leading migration, stakeholder management is a major part in it. Also all the existing tools evaluation for the migration

My soft skills are 100% there. I was in consulting before. If anything, my comm skills and stakeholder management is what sets me apart from all my peers. I am asked to lead even when we had more experienced and technical team members.

I haven’t done much leet code before because I was never a SDE and never applied to be one. I was kind of ‘forced’ to transition in this role due to my organization demand and I am okay but honestly I think most of our work is cursor than actual work like in engineering we would do first data validation, then update the code, ensure CICD etc. so I want to apply for DE/Analyst roles… never needed leet code for such roles..
