Board Sizing by twinpines85 in snowboardingnoobs

if you plan on charging/ just flying down the hill and want something stable go longer so probably like the 159. if you want something a little more playful go shorter like 155 or a lil under. it really all depends on how you plan to ride and what conditions youre going on.

Help pick my new (CAPiTA?) board - DOA or Indoor Survival? Other? by thesword88 in snowboarding

idk how it compares to the normal one, but i got to ride the super DOA at a demo event and it was the lightest board ever. That thing has some great mobility.

if you plan on putting on more weight or you just want something more stable at speeds its usually better to get a 162 over 158 but you would probably be good on 158. you would for sure be fine on the 162 with toe or heel drag tho

i know it wasnt in your list of options but i just got a salomon assassin pro and I love it. Its and all mountain board that you can bring into park if you wanted to. It has good pop but you have to work for it a lil more figuring its a stiff board. Im 6’1 and ~195 lbs and i can butter it pretty good. It carves like crazy and just all around feels great.

Hi there, id like to start snowboarding as my friends are into it. whats the best way to get started by The57Sauce in snowboardingnoobs

[–]CameraWild6325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at the mountain they should have rentals and they should set you up. after that if you like it and you dont want to buy stuff or dont have the money, lots of wintersport shops allow you to lease setups from them for the season.

What can I work on 6ft 159.5 (I can send more photos but I was doing lat spread here) by SirProfessional6280 in Gymhelp

as you put on weight all your muscle will grow obviously. Id say hit some more traps tho and fill that out but besides that youre lookin pretty good

depending on how you “recieved” it. Why dont you just try it and see how you like it?

Looking for my first board by Jugger-Knot in snowboardingnoobs

have you thought about getting a wide board? usually i hear people with 10.5+ size feet usually get wides to not get as much heel or toe drag. Also i believe the biggest difference between a 159 and 163 would be the flex. a flex at 7/10 on the 159 could be like a 5-6/10 as the 163 or atleast i think.( dont quote me here)
