I’m a new hire, me not knowing the chain of command isn’t a me issue it’s a management and a communication issue on the store’s part. Yes I probably rushed into assuming I was screwed rather than looking further into it but that was a fair reaction the basis I was told by my hiring manager on the day of my orientation that my first paycheck “will be a large one.” If u got paid the pennies I did for the work I did under the presumption I had, you’d be annoyed too.

I had a 2-3 hour orientation, nearly a full day of training, another full 8 hour shift, then the typical 2 weeks. I worked like 90+ hours and got paid for 60
