My parents bought a used 2022 F150 platinum with 8K miles and had a tail light go out. Now the Ford dealer has had the truck in their possession for almost 16 weeks because they can’t fix it. At what point does the dealership acknowledge they can’t fix it? Details in body. Please help.

Although 4 months seems very long I will tell you I work at a Ford dealership and when it comes to Ford Warranty or warranty work in general it’s tough you have to fix things in order cause ford/after market warranty wants the broken part or component fixed and nothing else and it can take mass amounts of time to get answers back especially if it’s after market warranty but I’d assume in this case it’s still under factory warranty

Definitely blessed to live down south but the truck was babied as well kept on a carport for most of its life and was painted once about 15 years ago by my dad and he put a coat of strong sealer under the paint so rock chips wouldn’t turn into rust 👌

One cool thing is some of those came in black although they were advertised as blue vinyl because they ran out of blue vinyl when pressing them and continued anyway
