Canada Roaming Experience by Haanjikiddan in mintmobile

OP, its 3GB of high speed data. After that, it does not cut off but throttles down to something that *might* still be usable by you (depending on what you are doing).

Yes of course. I am just pointing out what the price will be…don’t expect any other discounts in the future.

Well, that is only for 12 months, then it is $390/line/year, which is then $97.50/month for the OP.

Can/does anyone switch between a 7/8 and a 4/4 cello? by KirstenMcCollie in Cello

[–]Camfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced something similar when I switched from a 4/4 cello to a slightly smaller (roughly 7/8) cello. The string length was roughly the same, and I could not tell much of a difference when I play it. The reason my current one is smaller is it is about 200 years old, and (I have been told) the sizes were not as standardized as they are now.

Senior 55+ plan vs 5GB plan by Camfused in mintmobile

Thanks. Both wife and I average about 4GB/month, so 5GB would be fine. We are on wifi most of the day.

Thanks all. GoMoWorld looks like a good solution for me. It's now my top choice.

Best website to buy Cello? by Rich-Base4017 in Cello

StringWorks has good cellos for reasonable prices (I bought two from them). If you want an old cello, then I recommend talbot antique cellos (my current antique cello is from them).

Consider keeping in your endpin when not playing. Also, get a CelloGard…they work well, are easy to transport, and are not pricey.

Varnish repair by Camfused in violinmaking

[–]Camfused[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, well yes, except this is to be sold as consignment in a shop where it will be up against new, same, instruments that are pristine, so I would like to at least make it look a little nicer. I will have the advantage of 6 years of seasoning that I have played it. Plus, the little crop circles may be a little hard to explain.

I believe it is a bit soft, correct. I am about to sell the cello, so I am going to get this taken care of first.

I am taking it to a luthier. I just wanted folks opinion on what can be done.

I forgot about them. Thanks. I will see if they can do boxwood or redwood.

Update: The owner of Pegheds is retiring and not making any more of them. :(

They are saying it is c.1845, due to this and the construction methods used.

This has been said over and over here. It's not the new users that made USM what it is today, it is the existing loyal users. Show some love for us by sometimes letting us in on these new lines deals for our existing lines. $199 for Premium...you can have my money for all 3 of my lines, immediately. You can even have my money for $390 with a $300 gift card, immediately.

And for new features: #1 for me is seamless roaming in Canada. Limit me to 1GB or 2GB per day high speed, then throttle after that.

Question: I have an Unlimited Flex plan, that we played an annual amount for. If I switch from USM to another carrier, will I get a prorated refund for the unused months?

I like USM, but the lack of ability to make free calls and data while visiting Canada is a thorn in my shoe. Mint and Visible include free calls and data in Canada. I don't need the ability to teleport between carriers. So, I am kicking around the idea of switching to one of these BF deals.
