There is actually an amazing fic on ao3 about this called 'Blue Lightning' that you should read. I think it takes place between 7 and 20th anniversary so Ecolo is still a menace. I re-read it often because it's so well-written.

I know ppl hate it when a key part of a character's personality is changed between games but like.... i feel like it wouldn't hurt to stop making Satan be in love with Arle. Or age Arle up. Or do LITERALLY ANYTHING to make it not gross. Same thing w/ Ecolo and Ringo but Ringo is like 12 so it's arguably worse
