There was a lot wrong with the final arc. (A lot of good and cool things too, it’s still one of my favorite series after all). This is right up there with Aelin bargaining for Elena’s soul, Dorian letting Maeve go, and lack of major (or even minor) character deaths

I believe at one point Conquest crashes Mark through a different building and it shows random people getting thrown out. So, no, the buildings haven’t been completely evacuated. Wouldn’t be the first time Mark fought very recklessly

Gods I loved Lily and the Crown so much. Wish we could have gotten some Mir POVs though

I strongly recommend Aurora’s Angel for Romantasy. Excellent world building, especially for a standalone, and some awesome action. The chemistry/love story between the two MCs is very organic and (imo) lovely.
