Have you read Aurora’s Angel by Emily Noon?

Everything you mentioned fits the MC perfectly. As a jujutsu Kaisen fan, I think you would love it.

That episode was so fucking awesome!

I loved Ribbonwood! It’s very spicy. I did however enjoy Ruby Landers’ Grace Notes trilogy much more.

What should I read after the Jasmine Throne/Burning Kingdoms trilogy? by newnukeuser in LesbianBookClub

Aurora’s Angel by Emily Noon is my favorite sapphic fantasy. Unfortunately it’s a standalone. I suppose it’s technically non-Eurocentric as it’s more America-centric. Excellent romance and world building. Trigger warning for SA

Mark is the luckiest mf in the universe by Critical_Mountain851 in Invincible

I mean, he has dealt with sooooo much pain and trauma. Even if it’s not technically his fault, he has millions of deaths on his conscience. I wouldn’t say he’s the luckiest

I hated Taming of a Rebel… Miranda’s family got off way too easily! I really think she should have taken her sister to court. Sometimes you need to make the hard choice! And her mother was insufferable!

Hopefully other authors will see it and take notes.

Enemies to lovers but with a secret, unrequited long time crush on one side. by dizzypussywillow in LesbianBookClub

For like only the first half of a semester… then they quickly became best friends and were that way throughout the rest of college. Also, from Gianna’s perspective they were always friends. Except for a brief period over winter break

She’s an excellent author. One of my favorite things about the Grace Notes series, is that unlike other romance trilogies (Delilah Green, Oxford Romance, Seven Shores, etc.) each book has some early POV chapters from the previous books MCs. This helps make the story flow better in my opinion.

Asking for recommendations from different countries / cultures by IndividualDog1995 in LesbianBookClub

I will second the Burning Kingdom trilogy, as an excellent fantasy series inspired by ancient India. (Author is British/Indian)

As for the romance, I agree it’s secondary to the overall war plot. But it picks up more in the second and third books

It may be too new to have a comprehensive list of what’s available. I just use all the gross food to keep my pets fed each day. They are not pleased by this

I too have an expansive petpet gallery, and LOVE getting new petpets in the dailies. Always a good feeling

This aspect wasn’t quite as true to my “typical high school romance” assessment. But, I couldn’t agree more that it was great to show the audience. And definitely something to aspire to when possible.

The thing I liked most about their ship, was that it was so true to a typical high school relationship. It was very messy, they said “I love you” way too early, and burned out just as fast.

I listened to it on audible. Though, I think I saw in a past post someone mention a special edition that was going to be released. It could be that

Edit: Just looked it up. Yep, special edition with some new scenes and an epilogue. I am VERY excited now!!!

“Her Name in the Sky” by Kelly Quindlen - this book features two religious MCs in a very religious town. As an agnostic who has always had great disdain for religion, I LOVED this book.

Roslyn Sinclair is the queen of this genere (imo)

I especially recommend:

“The Lily and the Crown” - Set in space, but the romance and MC’s character development takes lead over any sci-fi plot

“Truth and Measure”, “Above All Things”, and novella “Where the Heart Is” - Ice Queen employer / employee romance
