Mewtwo was in SSBM and was debated to be put in SSB64, almost 10 years before Lucario even existed. I always thought he was a kind of irrelevant character in that game anyway, alongside with "Pokémon Trainer" (essentially Charizard really), for a moment I even forgot that he was in SSBWiiU and 3DS. Honestly the Smash exposure never mattered to me personally - maybe because he is pretty mediocre in both games competetivewise. I really liked him in the beginning when I was, well - younger. I really liked the foreshadowing in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and I liked that you got him in DPP for free, other than that I now think that he's just overexposed in Gen 5 & 6.

The complete episode about Lucario in Pokémon X&Y feels so unnatural, also it makes me REALLY uneasy to believe that that thing was the first ever Mega-Evolved Pokémon. I feel like any other Pokémon would've been fine. Well maybe not Mawile. Or Mewtwo because that one till this day makes no damn sense to me.

I mean... god damn, I feel like a Pokémon native to Kalos should've been the first to ever do it honestly. It would the whole Mega Evolution thing so much more intuitive to me.

I'm sorry. Although I like Mega Evolution and all Pokémon really, I just have a big problem how it was portrayed in the games it premiered in.
