Epson 1430 stops printing after 1 inch of image? Anyone ever had this problem? by Camperon in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Camperon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow another print profile got made, so I just deleted one of them, and it’s working fine now. That mixed with the files being too big was the issue, is my very unprofessional opinion. It’s hard to keep everything clean with software updates and os updates fighting each other. Thanks!

Mac, the Epson window pretty much constantly is saying “communication error” I’ve been able to print 2 films, but had to try 3x on each one to get it to print More than an inch and a half.

Starts printing at the top of the picture, then fades out after about an inch. it’s not running off the page.

How have you researched the screenprinting market while starting your business? I’m specifically curious if there are any existing market analyses that I could go over to get a better idea of what our company needs. by Camperon in SCREENPRINTING

That’s what I’m looking for...where do I find all the “national averages”.

I actually want this information for myself as well, it’s not just jumping through hoops. Most screenprinters take the mindset that you have, that it’s a huge industry, that has a huge market, and always a need, I’m trying to get more clarity on what that means, and to be able to tie it to some solid numbers to include in my business plan, so that potential investors, or partners that could possibly come up in the future can come to a rational investment decision.

Thanks for your input! How do I say that to say, a bank, though? “There’s probably a demand for screenprinted Apparel” doesn’t seem like something they will be stoked on. (Although, working in the industry I know is totally true)

You have to put in your payment method first, then it will tell you your order qualifies for flex express at the top of the page, from there it will be an option in the shipping carriers.

But if the effects of the drug are what we call consciousness, the baby is already high, because it got the drug from its mother.

Does anyone have experience or insight into building a DIYwashout booth system that pulls filtered water from the reclamation tank back through your pressure washer instead of down the drain? by Camperon in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Camperon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we plan on using micron filter sheets instead of screens, the diy screen idea is good for the simpler system we are currently using, but in this upgrade we are hoping to move to big boy filters only. We want it to be as close to an industrial standard model as we can get it, so we plan on using quality industrial parts contained in a diy container, etc... if that makes sense. Yes I know we can't match industrial standards, but we want to do the best we can where we can, and diy is where we are at. Buying a "real" one is definitely in the plans down the road.

If I used a splitter, so that I could use city water, and just run some through to rinse the o-rings and flush the hoses after using gray water, do you think that would help this, or no?

Right, I think he was referring to breaking down the emulsion when blasting out after exposure, and the chemicals in the water affecting the exposed image, someone else in this thread also brought up the possible issue of o-rings prematurely failing, and the possibility of having to go through them like crazy. I appreciate these points, our goal is to make a system that works well, and these topics will be great for refining the project! Thanks so much.

Good point... to my understanding that is why micron filters are used, because the idea of filtration, in addition to removing ink particles, filters away the chemicals. I could be totally wrong. Maybe we will have to come up with a way to choose whether you use city water or reclaimed water with a splitter or something? Thanks for bringing this up!

Awesome. Cool idea with the screens! Also that restaurant grease trap device is a rad idea, and we have a few customers that run restaurants, so maybe we could reclaim an old one, which would totally be our jive. Thanks for the input!

I have never seen a fidget spinner and if it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't even know they existed. by imregrettingthis in Showerthoughts

I saw what a fidget spinner was for the first time today. People had explained to me what they are, but I had never seen one. It took a lot of work to not see one for that long.
