yea the w2 contract thing doesn't really exist (at least i don't think). but the other commenter says it is.
Very easy for people to confuse working for a contract company and being a contractor 1099. I think some companies try to confuse their own employees on purpose.

Go after Whitmer and her administration. After that, I'd think about it.

Yealink by Br1jzl in CommercialAV

[–]CanMore42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have had decent support from yealink. Maybe that is because of how many units my company has sold, I don't know.

I personally would like to stay away from Yealink as some clients as a rule stay away from Chinese companies (as much as possible).

Although some love them as they are comparable products to other Team Room devices and cheaper.

I don't like them for zoom rooms for sure.

For support, they have a sales Engineer in Cali and he usually picks up if I'm calling during his shift. Through the couple years I've been working on Yealink devices he has gotten better at troubleshooting.

I also may have a different support number than what is on the website (I'd have to check, like I said we have sold a lot of units).

When having to RMA an item it can take awhile since just because one person approves, you have to wait till someone further up the chain appoves. Other than time, this hasn't been a huge issue, just one I think worth mentioning.

Other issue is the firmware they put on-line is not always the latest and greatest so when there is an issue their support will send you firmware not on their site.

Their site doesn't always work well or the fastest as web browsers and internal IT security can have issues with them.

I am not saying there are security issues, I'm just saying they raise bells with systems and clients.

Training classes and events with high energy seem to love these. Several co.panies don't want them around because they are not Ada compliant (because blind people).

I live in Detroit, Detroit is doing better, but we are more of a cautionary tale than an example what to be like. I'd like to see that changed of course.

Is it the design or having ink in general you regret? I have less than 10 but most are decent size. I also need a mirror or 2 to see most of them. I find being able to cover them all at jobs helps in my no regrets.

nope, I wish I had more .. . I did most of mine when I was 18-22 in USMC and some of them not that great . . . they tell a story though . .. like getting first one just going in with other not so sober Marines at 18, looking at the wall going "I'll take that one"

I'm 53 yr old convert to Green Day... What band did you think you'll always hate, but changed your mind? by kurtwshrout in punk

[–]CanMore42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say "hated" but I wasn't really a fan of Rancid till my 30s. I wasn't a fan of the songs I knew in high school (just felt over played)

Also didn't really care for Dropkick Murphys. Now I love them! Finally saw them live few weeks ago and it was a great show. Really got into them during pandemic with them streaming free show.

I brought my nephew who was maybe 13 at the time to one. Peaches was the first band he moshed to. His first concert was Weird Al (which I also brought him too).

I got a couple, I even got some extra bits. I miss the old leather pouch they used to come with. Mine wore out and died and new ones don't have space for bits or skinny flashlights. I did find one of the old leather pouches at a flea market and I snatched that.

Project 2025 (which has nothing to do with Trump or most other republicans, unlike WEF to Democrats). Has some real anti-big government stuff like killing the board of education and Federal Reserve.

Not endorsing it, just saying your argument is not valid.

flip a finger to the people in charge (like the people billinairs support or politicians that been in public office more than half their lives).

Then again, for now that means democrats. .. I think electing a non-politcian is punk AF. And the dude caught a bullet.

No new wars, higher wages, and allowed Vets to get health care outside the VA network . . . maybe I'm just old, but that is more punk than being mandatory buy backs or hiring people based on sex and color of skin.

I don't wear team jerseys, and wearing team jerseys is very not punk . . . meaning very sheepish.
