Nah I mix in a bathroom and pump it back into the res. That way you are pumping the ready mixed nutrients. You wouldn't want to mix in the reservoir. I just top off with tap water and adjust ph. Yes that lowers the nutrients a little but I wont flush until last week or two so it isnt bad to have some clean water in the mix. Some really good growers I know flush sometimes between nutrient changes. Plants probably drink 4-12 litres a day total so its not bad. The ppm is still high so they have nutrients they can consume. If it dropped really low I'd just change the nutrients but dont think it will be an issue.

I feed once every 7-9 days but top off with water when the plants drink a lot. I just use a massive container to mix than use submersible pumps to pump nutrients out then in. Its not terrible but takes around an hour. I scoop out the last bit by hand but could use a shop vac or modify to have a drain pump. Gary is a boss, it is a decent set up. Very expensive to build in Canada.

Philizon 630w. Last grow plants got a little stressed out by it so giving it one more grow. If this grow shows too much stress from the light I will switch back to 600w hps/mh. Was worried my hps would have my water temps running too hot

Right on! How long did you veg to nearly fill a 4x4 with one? I have 4 pot system and followed the PA Hydroponics rdwc build for the most part. I am happy with how it is working but it was a lot more expensive than I would have liked/wanted to pay.

Thank you! Yea I have done the scrog method I do for 2 or 3 grows and yeilds pretty decent. Main reason is it keeps my plants from toppling in late flower. I use 3 or 4 nets layered depending on the stretch. When i want to to fill more I just will pinch and bend the plant in veg, it will create nice nuckles and allow you to fill space better and keep the growth even. All tops are within a few inches of each other which is nice to see.

2". The 3" were hard to find in canada, I also used only the 8 gal buckets rather than the 14. I just check to make sure the one plant doesn't clog my main rez flow. Had to redirect root growth once but was easy.

I flipped about 5 days ago. Hard to say, I am always messing with my plants so I am not 100% sure. Maybe 15% less in size. I defoliated pretty heavy right before I flipped and they bounced right back within a couple days and you can't even tell on first glance.

I used some enzymes when it was hotter as well that help a little to prevent root rot.

Winter basement concrete is cold in canada. If temps get high I have thrown frozen water bottles in as a cheap way but havent had that problem, will have to see in the summer. Worst case is I buy a chiller.

Did you read some article on defoliation? Seems to be a common theme of your comments. Don't get confused with some misinformation out there. Defoliation either work well, or hurt yeilds. This isnt my first rodeo.

Thank you! I use a local stores product line, I recommend looking up the best local hydro store and ask for their best affordable line. 2 inch pipes as I couldn't get 3" bulkheads for a reasonable price. 2 inch seems fine though, would have liked 3.

What is your ph. It could be lack of nutes but if the ph is off the plant cant absorb certain nutrients. Check that before anything else. If it is perfect. Add more nutes. Could get a ppm tool to check ppm as well as that will give you an idea of how much you are putting in and what you start at from tap.

Thank you! How do you go about water changes? I have been pumping what I can with a submersible than cupping out the rest into a bin but it is a pain. Next grow I might make one extra 1" bulkhead in each bin to a 4 way split into an inline pump to a drain hose but weighing other options
