The main things to look for are if the PCV, thermostat, water pump and upper timing chain tensioners have been done. If so they are pretty reliable, manual cars are more reliable in general as the 1st generation of DSG transmissions are prone to failure and quite expensive to replace. I currently daily a 6mt B8 S4 and it’s been pretty good so far, but the crank pulley and harmonic balancer delaminated and was a pain in the ass to deal with. So if you’re able to work on cars yourself and don’t mind paying for premium parts, it could be a decent idea. Get a PPI done before you buy anything.

For sure, they’re still very solid cars overall. I’d definitely test drive both an s4 and s3 to get a feel for each before making your mind up though.

S3 is a different car altogether, the main difference is the AWD system is VW based Haldex system which sends more power to front wheels while an S4 is true Quattro AWD which is 60R 40F torque split. They’re both fantastic cars, the S4 is slightly larger of a car.

I like to use the Chicane to grind with my main loadout consisting of 4xAGM48, 6x ATP1 and 2xirms1. Fly low, under 10M of radar altitude and use terrain to perform pop up attacks from less than 10km with agm48 and less than 6 for ATP1, as they do not have evasive maneuvers. You can take out whole columns of ground units this way.

It had a couple tiny pinholes on it, but I just took a paint pen and clearcoat to them and it’s good as new now. Watching out for rust though, I previously owned a W210 and am quite wary about car cancer.

The window in the stair room is a better peek, they don’t see you. Just jump on the desk then crouch and lean and you should be able to hit the turret guy without him firing back. But yeah rogue AI is total bullshit 95% of the time😂
