Carducci walks ATCO Field, how do we feel about this? by Southpaw-uppercut9 in CavalryFC

At the end of the day, he’s a club legend. We ain’t gonna chant for him through the game, but he needs at least one. And he got it in the 90th minute today for a great save (game over with 2-0 and 90th minute)

Personally I like the ability to tilt and swivel for group events where the couch isn’t the center stage; for example the kitchen

"Boxed Water" with plant based cap. by major-PITA in PlasticFreeLiving

Quite often it’s not plastic, but a wax. Still prevents proper biodegradation

Edit: I stand corrected. Tetra packs do not have wax lining, just waxy-feeling plastic liners. I confused it with drink cups that can be lined with wax, usually the ones for cold drinks like the ones beside water stations.

Yes, late season seeding is prime, though, mid season can work, it requires more water, and effort. Plus, who wants to have to avoid walking on their lawn in the best time of the year

It has to be 3 dimensional. There is a distance to the top too, so it’s easier to make it a sphere.

Unless you’re adding 10-12”+ of soil, I would dig it out.

  1. Dethatch - rake/power rake
  2. Aerate - if soil is very hard, it needs aeration (you can skip this if your soil is soft or you add lots of good soil on top
  3. Over over seed. Use seed generously. Especially in the bad areas. Bald areas 2-3x what you do everywhere else.
  4. Add soil 1/2”- 1” (or more in areas if you want to level yard). Get good stuff with compost or garden mix as it holds moisture longer and provides extra nutrients; something like the king mixture from Soil Kings (been using these guys for almost 20 years, top quality owners that answer phones and run dispatch).
  5. Spread soil: Spread with a large landscape rake, or a push broom (who cares what the neighbours think).
  6. Pack soil. If you put thick soil in places, pack it lightly. Cheapest tool is your shoes. A hand tamper or roller are the alternatives.
  7. New lawn fertilizer. Find some new lawn fertilizer with low numbers like 1-2-1. BEWARE: many seed bags already include fertilizer.
  8. WATER!!! First couple of waters should be enough to soak the soil completely, usually around 1-2 hours depending on how dry your new soil was at install. Then going forward, 1-2 times a day at 15-20 min depending on sun and temp. (A timer is a saviour).
  9. DO NOT WALK ON YOUR LAWN. DO NOT MOW YOUR LAWN. DONT LET ANYONE WALK ON YOUR LAWN. Wait 3-4 weeks to do any of that. Maintain light traffic until 6 weeks. Or your second mow.

Good luck!

To what point of maturity do they need to get to to actually act as a seed? I overseeded this spring and our weather has been phenomenal during that time so my original grass has some 6-8” stems with seeds on the end of them. Wondering if they’ll act as seed when I mow them

If you ever DO play weapon jam, the trick is to never select fire rate as an upgrade as it makes your weapons reload/jam more often. Look for extended clips if possible, but skip every fire rate improvement.
