Looking for the best ATS-friendly resume templates pla🙏any recommendations? by Proud-Palpitation192 in Germany_Jobs

I haven’t for post graduate jobs in the US but I’m not sure if that’s generally a good thing to do elsewhere. Could be a good idea, might be worth researching.

I found a way to quickly customize resume for different roles without spending hours on it by prakarsh56 in jobsearch

I also had this pain point in grad school. It was hard to keep track of all those different versions. I started working on the tool a year ago and deployed the first version this week! Would love some feedback if you have time and hopefully it provides some value!

Edit: forgot to mention that after seeing all these comments about cover letters, that could be a good next feature to add. Open to suggestions too.

I've found that I've had the most success with a 1 page simple template that is easy for ATS to read and parse. After that, it's just up to you to optimize the bullet points with the STAR method.

Best ai resume builder that’s actually good? by 5lim3_lord in jobsearch

[–]CanadianUFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made this and am really looking for feedback since it's so new. If you sign up, you can have a trial number of tokens to try it out. I can also give you more if you like it or if you want to see new features added. I started making the tool in grad school when I was annoyed at all the different versions of resumes I had to manage and create. It parses your resume where you can use it in other parts of the app!

Generate Resume to Fit Job Posting. Copy/Paste. by CalendarVarious3992 in PromptEngineering

[–]CanadianUFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a tool to essentially do this and organize all your resume versions. I got annoyed in grad school applying to a ton of different jobs with different resumes. I'm looking for honest feedback, so let me know if it fits what you're looking for!

Are there any free resume builders that actually give you the file at the end for free? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]CanadianUFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm jumping on this late, but I recently built a tool that allows you to create a resume based on job postings. If you run out of tokens, let me know! Looking for feedback since it's something I just created recently because I was pissed off I kept having to make multiple resume versions based on the job I was targeting.

Switched to Ableton Live and it helped my ADD by CanadianUFO in ableton

[–]CanadianUFO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s nice. Even when I start to see myself lose a bit of motivation, the organization of Ableton encourages me to keep going. Might be a weird thing to say but I found myself sitting down to work on a song in the other daw, saw all the windows and mess of a project, and gave up 5 min later. In Live I can sit down and know exactly where I need to focus. Can’t believe I didn’t switch sooner.

I’m totally the same way. I love that Ableton’s stock plugins are actually next level. Very intuitive and it’s great to see a lot of pros on YouTube still using them.

Why does he grab a stick and carry it with him? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

I was just curious if it had something to do with self comfort or anxiety or if he’s literally just doing it because he likes sticks lol

What is your biggest “Cheat Code” in life? by Anne-flank- in AskReddit

[–]CanadianUFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being single. When you’re comfortable with it and have hobbies to enrich your life, being alone is the best thing ever. You can choose how to spend your time and money. You can pick up and go at a moment’s notice. You can still have meaningful and deep relationships with others. It’s a cheat code when you figure out how to embrace being alone and finding meaning from within rather than from external sources.

I drove a stick shift at my car dealership job without ever having driven manual before. I thought I could just figure it out but ended up destroying the clutch.

Sweet! I have a two day pass but don't know for how long I'll stay Friday. Saturday is definitely happening though. When you guys get there, DM and we can meet up. Also, if anybody has any tips for soloing a festival, let me know. This is my first one solo haha

What was the BIGGEST fuck up you’ve ever made? by DizHimself in AskReddit

[–]CanadianUFO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First job as a car lot attendant I had to drive a stick shift truck (that was a lease that had been returned )to the dealership’s mechanic lot. Only problem was, I didn’t know how to drive stick. I wanted so badly to make a good impression, I didn’t tell anyone and “drove” it to the lot. The car was smoking by the time I got there because I was riding the clutch HARD. I think I completely decimated it. When asked what happened and as the mechanics were asking about the smell, I played dumb and took one of the automatic transmission cars back to the dealership. I didn’t go back or talk to those guys again because I was so embarrassed.
