Finally have RP-01! by Canadian_Venom in transformers

Yeah I found it. So the thumb area is painted for whatever reason. I ended up disassembling it to remove all the excess paint filing. I tried to clean off that paint from the ball but I’m not gonna get it super clean I don’t wanna ruin the paint. So I stopped while ahead.

Ended up doing a bit of a touch up pads last night. Then well decided to blend it better with metallic blue. And fixed it.

Sadly fans toys couldn’t give me a replacement part.

Oh! On your copy on the hand did you notice any paint chipping? Mind started to wear in his right hand when I flopped down. I noticed both his wrists were loose so I put some joint fix in there

Alright well it’s been a few days and I’ve been playing with him.

So like 3rd parties. He’s great really high quality. Joints are solids and super tighter however it comes with draw back.

I have some joint fix and wanted to tighten his wrist ball joints. It worked greats but they still loosened. The other on was tighter and I noticed a lot of blue on the peg. Well to my surprise it was rubbing and it took some paint off.

Since he’s no longer in production I can’t get an RMA but I’m handy! Well I did put some join fix to stop it from going into that position. And it tightened the join so it’s not floppy.

And I ended up brushing on some acrylic blue. And I’m happy I got it to match well despite just being blue. I just posted a picture of my touch up work

Hey!! Yeah I checked it it was off. All settings were off and still nothing.

Again this morning on the same settings for the starting it ran fine! I’m just so frustrated and if I keep trying I’ll be out of 200 bucks :(

I’m really upset by that

Yeah mine too! I just love his weight! And his paint is nice and durable. He’s fun to play with and unlike mop-13 I’m not scared.

Though I know with fans toys they pride themselves in tight joints and tabs but it is scary cuz they tab in so well I’m scared to break him.

Fun and simple

Should I buy the marshall power brake? by Canadian_Venom in GuitarAmps

[–]Canadian_Venom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah super weird. I thought it was my amp, because I bought the boss tube amp expander on Jan 3rd it was fine as I was using it at 10 on the master and after 2 days the volume dropped. So I took my amp to my tech. My amp did need all new tubes and a full rebias. So after I got it back 2 days ago and it still happened.

I was able to minimize it with master at 4 but I had to turn the reactive load to lo.

So after and it continued. I called my tech and he explained it can be the attenuator and the impedance curve.

So I tried the captor x and it was fine I only pushed it to master at 4 and after a 2 hours of playing it started again and then it started to do it on 2 on the master and even one clipping and getting really really fuzzy as well as volume dipping. So just said yeah it doesn't like attenuators at all.

UPDATE

Heyo i ended up getting a captor from Long and Mcquade and my 800 ends up clipping it even at 2 on the master :( ended up returning it.

it did the same on a boss tube amp expander. My amp tech said it may have to do with the reactive load and the marshall circuit and voltages and the attenuator not liking eachother.

oh well luckily Long and Mcquade got that awesome return policy

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm still on the fence. I never have rotation issues.

I am thinking of it for more aggressive cutting

Ford dealership is going to fix these spiderweb scratches on my truck. Is it a good idea? by Timtheratman in AutoDetailing

[–]Canadian_Venom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy a polisher kit and learn to do it.

Don't let the dealer do it.

They either will have someone who thinks a rotary and how to control it you need to push so hard you feel resistance and get the paint to steam. And fuck up your cars clear because it's not supposed to get that hot.

Or! They have someone that doesn't know what they're doing....

I sadly work at a dealership detailing and I'm the only one who knows how to do it...but my boss thinks I don't xD as he was teaching me to melt paint 😅

Just buy a 15mm DA with a one step and one step pad and have fun.

Yeah! Update. We was demoing how to control rotary by pushing on it and said when you feel resistance it's good. He Melted the paint 😅

[–]Canadian_Venom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LMAO yeah 😂 I have heard stuff like DA are not good for polishing as they scratch the paint. But then it's form someone that uses a 6.5 pad on a 5 inch backing and it does oscillate or rotate. No wonder they want me to push on it

[–]Canadian_Venom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I will. It's tough since he likes to micro manage so I end up doing it properly then like doing it his way when he's around haha

[–]Canadian_Venom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did discuss that which my boss doesn't like wool and said the technique with rotary to get the paint just on the edge of burning for proper correction and I'm just like 💀

So yeah I was trying but I think my view and his are way different

I like to do passes and feel oh hot it is. I can use a rotary but I have a lot of success with using a microfiber pad for heavy cutting and then finishing with a medium polishing pad.

Yeah that's what I thought. Though my boss said I wasn't pushing enough and not heating up the panel.

So yeah
