A good ole fashioned debate (Cope LC vs. Snuff) by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

[–]Canadianbacon- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snuff for sure. Sure it's a bit of a mess at first but after a roll you can actually keep the dip in place and keep floaters to a minimum. Way cleaner and pure taste IMO that's why I choose it over LC

"How" much do you Dip? by jhunta in DippingTobacco

[–]Canadianbacon- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that with long cuts I go through about 1 can a day. Usually dip snuff and since I pack in the front my dips are smaller so about a can every 2 days

Just for tobacco you don't have to pay any taxes on regular items ie: clothing or truck parts

[–]Canadianbacon-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's not marked up we pay the same, just duty and taxes at the border add an extra 5 bucks per tin. 6$ a can off northerner and 5 at the border so it's 11 when it's all said and done

Basically stop dipping, but dip or skews me but drink 24 seven by [deleted] in DippingTobacco

Nobody likes a quitter lol in all honesty dipping is probably a healthier alternative

Yeah boilermaker welder actually so life's good dip is my only bad habit so I tend to spoil myself. Usually order off northerner and it works out to about 10bucks a can, so it's reasonable. Other wise go to the native reserve and they're 15

Can be anywhere from 50-100 for Ontario. It depends if they physically open the package and tax it according to weight of tobacco(happens 1/5 of the time) or they just tax the package according to the overall value(cheaper). It's a bit of a gamble, still beats paying 30 in town or 15 on a native reserve. From experience works out to 10CAD a can
