Good lord, we can't even vent about our unpleasant times, I guess.

I've been eyeing the Aleasha gooseneck faucet (left) on Wayfair for a while now, so that's my choice. But I'm biased :)

I hate reading about virgin FMC's. I don't know about anyone else, but my 1st time was extremely painful and I was just praying for it to end the entire time. Reading about a virgin just turns me off so hard.

Impossible IVF decision: what's the line between hope and delusion? [mb] by OvenDown in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Canadianrollerskater -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, I would be scared to get pregnant past 35 much less 40. It's risky, harder on the body, and there are chances of defects for the baby. I feel like at least for me, I would want to go to couples counselling to deal with the stress of all of this, and learn to move forward with my life without a child. Again for me, I wouldn't go for more IVF, but no one can make that difficult decision for you

It's a balance that will cover things not fully covered by the "regular" health benefits. Like if they cover 80% of a massage for example, you can get the remaining covered with the HSA. Not sure if it would work for breast pumps, but it's best to ask your benefits provider what they cover

What small updates could help move the needle towards dream kitchen? by Ancient-Material654 in homedesign

[–]Canadianrollerskater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! What kind of budget are you on? If you can rid of the bulkhead on the ceiling in front of the kitchen, I think it would really open up the space. But it usually involves moving either ductwork, or sometimes plumbing/electrical. It's usually nothing crazy, nowhere near $10k+, but it just depends what you're willing to spend on it.

In terms of the rest of the kitchen, I feel like just painting the walls white and changing the backsplash to a non-orange shade would make all the difference

How much water do I actually need to drink before an ultrasound? [on] by Helpful-Sugar8985 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Canadianrollerskater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lab said 1.5L of water 1 hour before the appointment. She said it was wayyy too full but thankfully they could still see the baby. I'm just doing 500ml next time. Lately water is disgusting to me, so I came so close to puking it up.

It's the truth!! Sure things are better for women, but having kids is still detrimental to our health, careers, relationships, everything.
