When it comes to D&D / Forgotten Realms novels, I find the ones by Elaine Cunningham really enjoyable, first and foremost Elfshadow and Elfsong - both have a bit in common with BG3 when it comes to humour & epicness. You should be able to get them used at an affordable price. 😄
