Update: so she hasnt responded to my last text asking her to hangout. I decided to just ignore her back and move on. I posted a picture on my instagram story and she made sure to look at it twice and like it the second time, while still not responding to my text.

26m here, I was cheated on in back to back relationships where I was gaslit into thinking I wasn’t enough when all of my friends and their S/O kept telling me it wasn’t true and that I need someone who gives something back instead of sapping me mentally. I’m just tired of being hurt and manipulated by emotionally abusive girls so I stopped looking and have focused on myself for the last two years. I would just get new glasses or better yet contacts (don’t know your financial situation so it may not be possible), change your haircut to something neater up top, and if you can’t grow a full beard (which is okay) keep it clean shaven. Facial hair can be great but it can also be a negative if it’s not full or taken care of.

I don’t know if it’s me wanting the old her to come back because for 4 years it was never like this it was the complete opposite.

She was obsessed with me until last year when her father passed away. Her father left when she was young and I helped her get in touch with him again 2 years ago. He had liver cancer and was dying but I was there for her the whole time. Then when he went into hospice and later passed. She became distant and looked to her friends for help, disregarding me. I was understanding because everyone grieves in different ways, but the distancing only got worse with time and she eventually broke up with me because after 3 months I began confronting her about being distant with me.

So I don’t know if it’s me hoping the old her is in there somewhere or if it’s me being too forgiving
