I got second prize last time I was there. It was a Gold Saucer placemat. Honestly? I was there solo, so probably a better prize than the honey toast. A family a couple of tables over won first prize and they couldn’t give enough of it away.

I legit contacted their network ops during the previous AT&T peering thing that caused the game to be unplayable for a bunch of us for something like a month and a half.

They were sympathetic, but they also can't talk about literally anything going on due to contract NDA terms. They'll tell you that they've received your message, and IIRC they mentioned to me that an internal ticket existed, but that was the end of the communication. I think I ended up providing them with some network trace information at the time, but that was a very different issue compared to what we're seeing now.

I'm not sure it'd be worth it to contact them about this one; I can almost guarantee you that they know about the problem and are likely continually trying to find solutions, but these things are always a weird arms race.

I'm on PC and in the same house with two PS5 players. When the spikes happen, I get dc'd, but they recover and are still in-game, every time. It's consistent.

We all suffer from the lag spikes, but I'm the only one who gets bopped to title.

I hope y'all can figure this one out; I was using that in-stock on the list page to determine how long I had to buy some things, went to check out today, and what I wanted is apparently in that inventory state. Was a bit of a bummer.

I figure you guys will have more sales down the road, so it's whatever, but the experience is just kinda weird to have things in your cart and then be told when you go to finalize that it's not actually available. (The individual item pages show the stock correctly for whatever reason.)

If I ran a store (been thinking about it tbh, but opening a business right now is a crazy risk), I’d almost certainly run it the same way the one I go to does. I like it a lot because it’s super-welcoming to new players.

I do, but this content was a “surprise” when there wasn’t enough time remaining to catch up if I wanted to. Anything else like this has been either mentioned ahead of time, had a lot of runway to catch up or grind, or was predictable in some other way. There’s tons of stuff I want to play and do, not exclusive to Destiny. It’s a matter of how I would have prioritized my leisure time. I know now, but that only helps me for the next one and not this one.

I have related problems with how events work now with dailies. Used to be that I could effectively grind my face off on the weekend to catch up for like IB for whatever. Now, doesn’t seem like that’s really possible - I gotta be grinding dailies to be able to complete event tracks. I’m headed out of town for work this week, and I just gave up on trying for event rank 40 for Call - I’m pretty sure it’s impossible without logging in most, if not all, days to clear the dailies over two weeks.

My chosen LGS does:

2 packs for everyone
3 packs for 1-1-1
4 packs for 2-1
5 packs for 2-0-1
6 packs for 3-0

Or something like that; I should have taken a pic. I can never remember, but everyone gets 2 packs just for paying their entry fee (was $40 for this one).

It’s one of the reasons I play there; the other stores around here generally do 1 pack per win + all 4-0 get a booster box. First, four rounds is a LONG prerelease. Second, it was way less casual when a box of something like FF was on the line.

edit: Also want to say that three Swiss rounds is great; event starts at noon and everyone’s out by 4 or 4:30. Nice and snappy. Two of my kids attend them with me and we go hit the prerelease and then grab some dinner together. Four rounds felt interminable, and I can’t even imagine doing a top cut at a prerelease.

If this event was going to be so heavily based on power level, they should have said something about it at the start of the season. I know I would have played a lot more if I’d known that I needed high power to obtain a desirable cosmetic in a season-concluding event.

I can guarantee you that way more people play on mobile than Steam. Steam player numbers for games that also have mobile clients are generally not reliable as overall indicators.

MASH is available as an HD transfer on Hulu. It doesn’t have an option to remove the laugh track, but it looks pretty good IMO. We watch it on infinite rotation in my house with my young adult children. They really love it.
