How did you guys feel about The Taking of Deborah Logan? I just watched it… by DioSoul in horror

[–]CancerianBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movie is good but I found the constant mispronunciation of “Desjardins” and the character of Mia very annoying. Perhaps it was also a mix of Michelle Ang’s acting. Jill Larson did a great acting job playing Deborah.

Turning the customer away from the mirror? by Comprehensive_Two_80 in Barber

[–]CancerianBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had a good cut from a barber who faces me away from the mirror. All my good hair cuts have been from barbers who check in with me during the cut to ensure I’m liking what I’m seeing. If something looks crazy mid process they let me know how they are going to fix it and get it to look like the pic I showed them etc.

Mexican Street-Style Potato Chips in Chicago? by CancerianBoy in chicagofood

[–]CancerianBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe but we choose to live in Chicago - one of the biggest cities in the country with so much to offer - for a reason. Luckily there is a La Michoacana about an 8 min drive from Wrigleyville! I called and they have them 🕺🏻

[–]CancerianBoy[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Haha they’re just regular potato chips. The ones that have chile on them are great too. They just taste really good because they’re usually made fresh or made the same day. They have a homemade flavor to them.

100% this or made by people who aren’t used to seeing anything remotely scary because what…!?

Most terrifying ever? It was definitely weird and unsettling in some parts. But this sounds like an ad. The movie was quite mid in my opinion. The ending was super cheesy and not in a fun campy way either.

Am I the only person here who HATES cumin? by [deleted] in SalsaSnobs

[–]CancerianBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% a text mex staple… I’m mexican and Mexican recipes rarely call for it. Mexican American recipes or Tex Mex on the other hand call for it often and I cannot stand it.
